The amount of times Payton is called a douchebag on a site where fans defend the biggest douchebag of a QB in the NFL is painfully ironic. Lol.

Oh no. Payton was being flamboyant and cocky. "Coaches aren't supposed to act like that!" Sounds familiar.

what happened yesterday when you "refused to believe Peyton would do this." Keep taking L's fam.

Interesting thing though is that a liberal interpretation of the rules could have gotten him a taunting penalty.  The taunting rule says no acts allowed that would be contrary to the generally understood rules of sportsmanship.  Then it says such as but not limited to several things included the use of taunting tactics that might engender ill will between the teams.  I could see a mocking chant causing some ill will among the teams.

Would have loved to have seen him get called for it, and the penalty moved the Vikes into fg position, but the way it worked out was ok to.  :)

My goodness, a liberal interpretation of the taunting rules during Panther games would be a godsend lol.

That's my QB.  Don't like it don't let him score.

I agree.

But, you don't see the irony here? Lol.

If you're going to put something in quotaions, make it factual.

Let's be real. A guy with Cam Jordan on his team doesn't have much to stand on when it comes to calling out other team's players for being douchey.

Objectively speaking, Sean Payton is a douchebag. He's also a great offensive coach.

On the flipside, I've long been a critic of Ron Rivera as a coach, but he may be one of the nicest guys in the league.

I'm sure both of our teams have plenty of nice guys and douchebags to go around. I have no problem admitting that. What about you?

Irony? No.  Difference is your guy is a douche.  Ours is not.

No. Difference is, your guy is your guy and my guy is mine.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure you basically said exactly what I'm getting at with your last statement.

I never argued Payton wasn't what he is. Just the hypocrisy in it all, is all.

Correct.

Payton may be an a--hole, and I think a coach taunting fans or opposing players is stupid, but nothing he's done would be severe enough to constitute a violation of the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.

Since they don't currently have an Anti-Douchebag provision on the books, judge rules "no violation".

This

If being a d1*[k was against the law, many many would be in trouble. Man is a douche, that is all
