I think the lure of being able to turn around Andrew Luck's career and be successful with him is why he's in Indy.

 

And it'll revamp the Colts/Pats rivalry for the end of Brady's career, which could be fun for the NFL.

If Luck can get healthy, that's gonna be really interesting.

Plus if the Titans go for Vrabel, you've got two former patriot guys coaching in the same division.

Shurmur's a good coach.  General consensus is he can't be blamed for the dumpster fire the Browns were.  Their consistency through several coaches, GMs, quarterbacks, etc would tend to support that notion.

And let's not forget, we had a shot at getting Shurmur as our OC in 2013.  We chose Shula instead.

The downside: Shurmur likely would have implemented a West Coast system that would have required some retooling of our personnel.
