We can’t go into next year with a Worley/Bradberry CB tandem

I didn't think Adams did that bad.  Coleman had a bad year, with injuries.  I'm cool with upgrading here, but I think corner is the higher priority.

They were bad. Truly. Go back and pick any game. Adams had one or two good plays, rest of time, old and slow and Coleman, bad before and after injuries

I thought Adams showed out as the season progressed. Played very tight coverage against some good players. Kurt Coleman looked lost at all times. 2015 was his only good season. He's got to go, or at least not start. And no, Tre Boston isn't the answer. This is where i'd draft a safety high.

Adams interception and long return against Atlanta was awesome.  It set us up for the touchdown to take the lead 14-10 just before half.

Does this coaching staff not teach the players to read the Qb eyes or use their instincts to jump a route..this is what I miss about Norman..not that he had a ot of speed but the quick hits did not happen as much ..bradberry just sits and watch the receiver catch the ball and sometimes he can be right there in the mix to intercept or break the pass up...to me Worley played better than he did.

Some players just don't have that ability. But Worley has always had better ball skills then Bradberry. Plus Bradberry is a few years older than Worley as well.

Regardless an upgrade or more legit comp is definitely needed

I know Gettleman downplays 40 times and workouts in general, but damn if he didn't leave our WR corps and secondary nearly devoid of any speed. Our QB and starting LBs can outrun most of our WRs and DBs. Yeah, the QB and LBs have elite speed for their positions but that's still not good. At least Samuel can run, let's hope he's not made out of glass.

The 2016 draft just has  yet to really pay off.  We are still waiting for Butler, Bradberry and Worely to really step up.  There's been some flashes... but....  Many have said it takes a few years to develop... ok, well then these three should really shine next year.  When I look at McCaffrey with 1000+ yards in his rookie season, he's become a reliable 3rd down option, and you look at Cam in his rookie season, you think of what could be with a rookie.

I guess you just can't compare a top 10 pick to a 31 pick or 2nd or 3rd rounder.  Why can't all of our picks just be Kamara surprise?

    • I don't know--they represent the entire body of players and this be determined, if it got to that point, by a vote of all veterans and rookies who are part of the union.  If the elite players are getting 50% of all cap increases, the non-elite players with shorter careers might want a bigger slice of the pie and vote accordingly.  To say that the Union would not go for it is not something I agree with--it would be the union that proposes it--based on a proposal and a majority vote.  If the veteran players vote for an equal distribution framework, then all 53 on a roster benefit from a cap increase that is applicable to the entire team.  Not sure how labor laws might be impacted...
    • Carter, Graham, or Walker and I might roll the dice hoping Walker is around later.  If Hunter is there at 8, we are about to get a really nice haul for trading back.
    • Oh well. That's his fault if he wants to eat up all the cap space and have no protection as a result. A big part of why Brady has all those rings is that he generally took team friendly deals. Not that he wasn't making a mega ass ton of money, but he wasn't leaving his team cap strapped due to his contract while Peyton Manning generally tried to negotiate for every dime he could get forcing the Colts to make tough decisions.
