Compare how many TDs Julio’s had this year vs Funchess mayne.

Funchess is better than Julio in the redzone. Julio at everything else.

Julio has never been a high volume td guy, I’d have to compare targets in the red zone also.

According to pff funchess is the guy you want inside the 20, julio it’s about even inside the 10

 

16 targets for funchess inside the 20, 5 tds

julio 22 targets in side the 20 2tds

The stat is talking about when Julio Jones is inside the endzone at the catch point.

he did miss the final pass vs the eagles today. But the one on the other side of the end zone didn’t matter if he caught it, he’d have been out of bounds

Julio Jones just isn't as good as he fools people into thinking, sure he's still the number 2 receiver in the NFL probably, but he's no Antonio Brown. Antonio Brown doesn't drop passes, doesn't fail in clutch situations, doesn't disappear in the red zone, doesn't get shut down in random games and have stats like 1 catch for 19 yards. Everyone saying Julio Jones is better than Antonio Brown are just hoodwinked by the magic of "Julio's tall and athletic, he LOOKS like he should be better than Antonio Brown"...but he isn't.

probably a lot to do with it. he's making mental mistakes that i'm not used to seeing him make, though. maybe he didn't shake off the loss from last year. whatever it is, he's not been quite the threat he was in the past.

remember the bobble against us that first game? completely catchable. for him that was never really much of an issue, though.
