We all loved Proehl, but the further removed we get from his time here, the less I think of his coaching.

It's looking that way.  He did have a lot of influence on who was drafted at wr during his tenure here.  Not sure how much Dave actually listened to it but knowing JR and his ego who's to say what the hell actually went in behind the scenes.

Voth pointed out shortly after Proehl's departure that he was never the kind to "push" the receivers very hard.

Mind you, the same has been said of Shula.

Turner? Not so much.

I believe Turner is gonna have full control of the offense. Rivera is inept on that side of the ball which is why he wanted a vet former HC to become OC. We need better coaching all over the offensive side of the ball.

Handing over control and stepping completely away would require someone Rivera trusts without question.

Turner fits that description.

I think a lot of Wilson's miracle throws have to do with him having well coached receivers that know what to do when their quarterback is scrambling.

Baldwin is unbelievable at coming back to the ball and finding it in the air. Just truly unbelievable.

Very good thing, for everyone on offense--most importantly, Cam.

and the media will praise them for game planning to use Wilson as a runner, while they will continue to bash us for using Cam as a runner even though he has the body to take the hits

I will be a great move and something no one in the NFL has tried before.

I know Rivera catches a bunch of poo but from what I have seen he just gives input. He's much more handsome off than Fox was. Maybe too hands off when it came to Shula.

Meanwhile we clearly have no idea what a scramble drill is lol.

Tbh Wilson actually makes the job of his o-line harder by scrambling so much. He doesn’t have the best pocket mobility or presence you want, so scramblings been his way of extending plays.

That’s why the seahawks continually look like they have the most poo oline in the league.

You know, I would have thought that with Newton at quarterback, scramble drills would have been something of a priority for the receivers.

Apparently not.
