Clifford VS. S. Silas

After this stretch without cliff on the bench i have to ask how everyone feels about this team with Silas in charge vs when Clifford is running the show. I think we’ve been much more successful and we have seen more positive minutes from the younger guys. I’m not saying Silas is a long term solution (to small of a sample size) but I think it is proof that there are plenty of, even mediocre, options out there that are far better than cliff.

I think Cliff will retire because of the migraines and heart stuff he has dealt with.. then Silas will be given full reign over the team - then we will see what his real coaching style is like - becus I agree with @Eazy-E he was running the show like Cliff was watching from the tunnel..

this prolly won't happen this year, but maybe in the offseason to make a clean break.. just me reading the tea leaves..

If we fire the entire staff (Cho, Cliff, Silas) it would be a huge break from the status quo.. I don't think MJ has that in him..

    • Fans are fed up with this organization's endless string of failures. And, while Morgan's less than a year into his current position, everything he's done is barreling down the same path shat out by his predecessor. If we're just pointing out this alarming lack of discrepancy between the performances of two GMs, it's really not hating. He's just proving to not be a good hire. And, hey, it's alright, because whoever Tepper hires next will, at best, only suck a little bit less. I don't mind people who are optimistic and hope Morgan turns out to be better than he's been thus far. That'd be great. None of us are rooting for him to fail. However, the embarrassing pattern of decisions persists. And it's not a good look.
    • You have to view everything that was done in 2024 through the ‘eliminate excuses for Bryce Young’ lens IMO. It only makes sense that way.     If you allow for that, you will see that Diontae fulfilled his purpose.
    • The Panthers' beat writer called the Johnson trade return "a warm bottle of RC Cola." If you're quick to discount every bit of news that disagrees with your view, maybe your view is the problem. Morgan deals himself a bad hand and he deserves every bit of criticism for it. Fitterer was the worst GM ever, but Morgan is a very similar brand of awful. Certainly when it comes to trades since 2021, Morgan's body of work makes him at best, only one of the worst negotiators in the history of North American professional sports. That's simply pointing out the numerous shortcomings he's put on display. If I point at a guy who shot someone and say "he murdered a guy," I'm not hating on him -- I'm pointing out what he did. If Morgan wants to not be labeled an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better, simply stop being an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better. Or, wait until Tepper makes him the fall guy after Evero.
