Hurts, still a great player but he’s not what he was in 2015.  It’s Shaqs time.  Hope we can get a ring for him and Peppers next year.

It’s really not and I’m not some TD homer either. I was on the fence about the extension. 

Shaq hasn’t taken that next step and didn’t look good at times this season again. 

This D would’ve been even worse this season without him.

This is what I thought initially also. Making it publicly known.

Makes sense, it was obvious watching him this year that he'd lost a step, just didn't have that same ability to cover sideline to sideline or crash down hard on screens. Regularly had guys run right past him where in the past he'd have embedded their silhouettes into the turf. Shaq was clearly the better player when he was subbed in at OLB, it's time for him to take that position over full time. I can still see us using TD in obvious passing situations for his rushing ability and experience.
