Ok one long run = 5 millon dollars? Love the guy but that contract was the reason Hurney got fired the first time. Got a feeling a lot of fat is gonna be trimmed due to the sell of the team up in the air.

And in the same breathe we could be jettisoning a player that can help.  You bring in a Free Agent he is going to cost us more than keeping Stewart.  I think, at minimum, you keep Stewart through training camp and see what Turner can do with him.

Hopefully, Turner is the deciding factor on keeping him or getting rid of him.

If we only had one or two holes to fill than I would think we could let him go.   We have far more important areas we need to address outside of RB.  It is a small gamble but I would imagine Stewart is ready for a shot under Turner.

STEW has probably the best balance of any RB I’ve ever seen play the game and that goes back awhile. The way he keeps his lower part of his body off the ground is astonishing, but the burst to break big runs is gone.

Kamara has that same kind of balance.

Then let him sign for 1M for 2018 after he is cut. Then with the 3.75M in savings get a vet S or WR worth a damn, and draft a compliment to CMC and it will cost less than 1M/yr.

Our fans have a problem with letting players go. We all love Stew but he's just not the same. It's time to move on and find a replacement.

Personally, I love Rashaad Penny and Kerryon Johnson in the draft.

A power runner later in the draft to complement cmc in the backfield then cut stew. We could give the new guy ten runs a game especially in short yardage  Give cmc 10 to 15 runs and 5 or more catches

You already have Armah for that.  Don't sleep on him.

I think it's time to move on from Stew, Whittaker, and Payne. I will accept Stewart on a restructure, but I'd like to see new talent brought in to solidify the position. Stewart still has value as the goal line option, as well as in pass protection. However if he stays a reduced roll is needed IMO.

No reason to cut CAP he’s cheap and performs when giving the opportunity. Small sample size, but he was the only rb to average over 4 ypc this year

Unless CAP has spent his time here coasting on the couch I can't think of a better option at his cost in the draft.  He has been in the system two or three years?  You are going to have to put a lot of capital in a FA.  Cut Stew and offer him a Charles Johnson type offer to sit on the bench and spell Cap, problem solved.

Y'all sleeping on Armah.

I'd rather CMC not be used as the primary back. I feel like it's much easier to replace a RB who runs north to south and pounds the ball than it is for someone with CMC's varied skill set. Now, he could see some more touches than he did this year, but I'd be nervous with him having a Le'Veon Bell type workload.

Hes not a primary back...i think the team understands that...

Turner is a power running type of OC....we would prop keep stew for another year we obviously have to keep cmc but I don't what you guys are thinking cmc is just a glorified slot WR you just breath on the guy he would go down so we need to draft a pure RB to replace stew.
