No prospect screams "WR1" to me after cursory glance

We have 2 guys were developing as deep threats.. Plus Landry can be a deep threat..

Explain to me what are you not seeing here?

Where are all these vertical routes where Landry is being double-teamed and working against the top corners?  Are you kidding me?  His best work is underneath and/or in space after the outside receivers have pulled some of the coverage away.

Yeh he can catch deep sometimes because he runs good routes— and he’s clutch. Rich mans Bersin.

there for a bit Bersin was the only one catching 25 yarders for us on 3rd down—

i like Landry— but only if Byrd or a replacement is here.

samuel is not a deep threat— he’s a scat running back playing wide receiver.

So you are telling me Samuels didn't line up on the outside this year?? Because he ran a lot of 9 routes and deep digs and comebacks like Ginn use to when he was here.. Especially when they traded KB.. You might want to check the tape..

Would I take him, hell yes— but again we have to get at least one more deep threat too.

Landry also compares to Jerricho Cotchery to me. Would be good for Cam to have a possession receiver safety blanket, and he’s clutch in the redzone.

see, Landry paired with a guy like a Julio would be lights out.

We would have to get the Flash.

Flash and Landry I could do. Flash Landry Funchess Byrd on the field sounds good.

i almost think Samuel needs to rotate with CMac and we get a bruiser for a third back.

So you don't see him beating Malcom Butler number21 for the pats (their top CB last year)

Or Stephen Gilmore when he was with the bills..

Or them double team him with a CB over the top and a LB under..

You must be blind..

Sound like Ginn.. But at least he was a rookie and it doesn't change the fact that is the role they see for him...

Samuel doesn’t catch with his hands— that’s been pointed out repeatedly. His hands are marginally better than Sheppard’s. That’s what I saw.

How long do you want to keep being wrong..

Lining up outside inside whatever the team needs huh??

He’s better than anything we have so yeh he’d be welcomed,...

the rest I don’t need to say again, about needing a legit deep threat. I would love for that to be Byrd or Samuel— Byrd can’t stay healthy and Samuel will need to show seriously improved hands.

id rather bring in Josh Gordon—- haha I’ll keep saying it until I can’t.

Give Samuels more than 6 games before you peigon hole him..

4.33 speed give him a chance before you say what he is.

Like I say they are using him as a deep threat..

In order of importance, assuming Watkins signs back with the rams.a checklist I’d like fo to explore this offseason.either one of these from the list need to happen.

1. Explore trades for guys like ty,Goodwin, etc

2.sign Allen Robinson to a prove it deal

3. Sign Landry to a mid tier contract

4.sign lee and bring in another vet for competion/depth

5. Mix and match WRs, Paul Richardson, Meredith, Enuwu, moncrief

6. Feeling confident in gordon?make the trade happen

You bring up all the promo vids you want.  You still can't deny the actual numbers of not only his routes run from the slot, but his actual effectiveness outside vs. the slot.  What you also can't get around is that 7 yard average. I guess he must have been playing on short fields all the time.
