Norv wants actual WR with with a history of production he can depend on...

We don't have that on this team any where on the roster..

Norv would rather have dependability instead of gambling in potential.. Which he is already doing on every WR spot on the team...

Again I bet 20 Pryor doesn't even get a call from this team...

Maybe learn football before posting ..

Lesson 1.. Great Route running and hands can make you a deep threat..

See.. Jerry Rice 4.77 speed

Deandre Hopkins 4.65 speed

Keenan Allen  4.67 speed

I can keep going if you like..

Im done. Go back to playing Madden buddy.

Reality we have done the same thing for 4 years now..

Cheap signings for potential hasn't worked..

Hopefully Norv is bringing in a new attitude about surrounding Cam with actual talent and a track record of production he can depend on...

You know smart coaching...

A lot of highly drafted WRs were let downs or outright busts. It's not an exact science. You look at the teams in the playoffs still, do any of them have blue chip studs? Maybe Agholor with Philly. The WR position is full of Edelemans, Diggs, and Nelsons. The Julio, Beckhams, and Coopers are hard to come by. You can look through the past 10 1st rounds... not many No. 1s to be had.

Cam Newton made the SUPERBOWL with Tedd Ginn Jr as his #1 WR! Can you please stop overrating what #1 WR's would mean to this team.

Hell some people say Cam plays his best without a #1 WR. The only reason WR was a concern this year was because of injuries. We literally had practice squad type WR's playing in the playoffs.

I would have no problem if you said trade for Josh Gordon. A true #1 WR who can play outside. But you seem stuck on this glorified slot WR who will break the bank this offseason.

Pryor is not a #1 WR but you can't tell me he wouldn't help this team in the vertical passing game. He has speed and size, we could use him in this offense.

He also had a defense leading the league in TO and a lot of Balls bouncing our way..

And at some point we can't keep Forcing Cam to carry the offense.. It worked 1 year..After that he has been Injured and fustrated having to do it...

Oh yes I can.. I went threw the names of players that were suppose to be deep threats that weren't already.. And he didn't help the Redskins this year right with all that size and speed??

So ...   hmmmm

My question would be how many of those teams with so called number 1 receivers make it to the Super Bowl and win? Ok Falcons 28-3 ya.

Cinci with AJ no, Matt with Julio- 28-3, Ben and Antonio- no, Carr and Cooper no, Eli and Odell- no

who does? The teams with the engines that could— little oh ants that move rubber tree plants.

The teams with a solid corps of receivers that are on their quarterbacks page, make clutch plays as a group do.

When we had Smith and the. KB, they made a lot of plays but Cam all the time forced the ball to them, and obviously these other quarterbacks do the same.

You win some games and make some fantasy nerds happy, but you don’t when it matters.

Get a team of guys that by themselves are ok— but they are clutch, get on Cams page and make plays as a group.

cam did what Case and others do when they have it like that— spread the ball around. You win like that. Fantasy gets mad because one guy doesn’t have enough points for their video game, but football fans are happy when the team wins.

He’s kind of right though as I pointed out. AJ Green didn’t have Julio’s strength and speed, but he’s a better route runner and he catches the ball when the games on the line.

thats why he went higher than Julio.

keenan Allen and Nuke Hopkins are also prime examples as pointed out. What’s stupid is we skipped on Keenan. Real dumb.

josh Gordan has my vote to go get, I’ve been consistent with saying that. He does have the speed and reliability on the field— whether he keeps away from puff the dragon is another story.

The jury is out on Pryor.

Question— would we rather get Pryor or Josh Gordan?

Gordon all day and twice in Sunday..

I'd rather take the risk he fugs up and smokes again than Pryor actually being a WR you can count on ..

Add in the fact Josh is 2 years younger and has a track record of potential  being the best WR in the league and having production over more than 1 year.. It's a no brainer...

It was a rhetorical kind of question— but I absolutely agree.

Pryor is out having surgery too, so what if he looses some of his only commodity,... speed?

Josh is perfect— id trade them a 2nd since Hurney busts on 2nds so often, and Josh just made it back, been out for awhile, and he’s a risk.

This obsession over WR1 is unhelpful. The Packers won 2 Super Bowls without anyone who would be a considered a WR1. The Patriots have won 5 without a WR1. The problem with our team isn't that we're missing some superstar on the outside, it's that 3/4 starters shouldn't even be on an NFL roster. How many Super Bowls did the Lions win with Calvin Johnson? Or the Bengals with AJ Green? We need 3-4 quality starters who fit our system and to stop putting guys like Brenton Bersin and Kaelin Clay out there.

This. We just need NFl Caliber WRs. Just average WRs. Nothing special lol

Yep I just made a long post on the same. I agree. Quarterbacks tend to force feed their number ones and that gets teams killed.
