No prospect screams "WR1" to me after cursory glance

the dumbest thing was drafting the same mold player, i am not sold on Samuel it was a stupid reach of a pick. when there was other wide outs who were out there. beating a dead horse over and over, but how is it that the steeler can find wide outs and turn them to all pros and we can't find nobody but wide outs who suck looking at you... Jarrett, kolbert, edwards. draft miller in the later round if he falls, swear if we had a lick of sense but doubt it would have drafted juju and would have fit nicely. instead gave big ben another op weapon

The sooner this organzation sees Funchess and Samuel for what they are and not what they hope to be the better off we’ll be.

Beating down Funchess, who is a legitimate playmaker, and Samuel,  who you hardly know, has become a daily occurrence with you.

This obsession over WR1 is unhelpful. The Packers won 2 Super Bowls without anyone who would be a considered a WR1. The Patriots have won 5 without a WR1. The problem with our team isn't that we're missing some superstar on the outside, it's that 3/4 starters shouldn't even be on an NFL roster. How many Super Bowls did the Lions win with Calvin Johnson? Or the Bengals with AJ Green? We need 3-4 quality starters who fit our system and to stop putting guys like Brenton Bersin and Kaelin Clay out there.

Funchess a legitimate playmaker? LOL

And you know Curtis Samuel didn’t just start playing football when Carolina drafted him right? There’s lots on Samuel to judge him

We're not going to be able to get a WR1 in the draft, and we're not going to be able to get a good WR1 in FA.

That's fine. Like the patriots, we have a stud tight end, and CMC can fill an edelman type role, and then Funchess and Byrd can do what they do. If we build a good SYSTEM around Cam, we don't need a great WR1, Tom Brady doesn't. Look how Cam played against the Saints, if we had've just passed the whole game instead of even trying to run which just wasted plays, I'm sure we mightve done fine/better.

I think Cam is more than capable of winning a superbowl with the WR core we have as long as the play calling is on point and we fix the running game.

Screw picking up another WR, fix the run game and the rest will fall in place, we have enough pieces.

Don't draft one. Sign a vet. I want Donte Moncreif, cheaper than some of the other names with high potential.

Crief or Lee would be great. I live near Indy and colts fans like him, and I remember a lot of us wanted to draft him that year.

Would you trade our first for Josh Gordon? He's an exclusive rights free agent, isn't he? Or what's his deal

Yeah he’s an exclusive rights FA.

I honestly would. I don’t value our draft picks very much anymore after years of watching Gettleman and Hurney piss them away for the most part.

What are you hoping to accomplish with your first round pick? Find a legit stud. So why not just trade for a proven guy like Gordon.

Enough is enough!

You?

I guess Funch's season means nothing *rolleyes.gif*, and using college tape to predict someone's value as a pro doesn't always cut the mustard.
