No prospect screams "WR1" to me after cursory glance

116 receptions and all he had was 987 yards? Under 9 yards per reception? That’s RB type production. He has the lowest yards per catch of any WR or TE in the top 100 reception seasons. Only a 30 year old Witten and a 33 year old Fitz had under 10 yards per catch and they still had Landry beat.

Didn’t we want speed and field stretching? Someone who gets targets from CMC and Olsen isn’t really what we need. We need more talent at the outside spot IMHO. We saw a couple flashes from Byrd and a tiny flash from Samuel but I think we need another WR as well.

Blame the scheme not the player.. All he did was get open a lot and make catches for a sorry team.. With a sorry QB and has done it 3 to 4 years straight..

And I'm sorry to have to explain this again..

Great Route running and great hands makes you a WR who can line up anywhere and do whatever is asked of you..

Deandre Hopkins isn't fast but is a deep threat..

K Allen isn't fast but is a deep threat..

Lack of speed can be augmented by GREAT route running and hands.. Landry has both..

Seriously do you ppl hate guys who actual produce and have a history of it??

Landry avg. Over his career playing with Tannahille, Matt Moore, and Jay Cutler (meh squad)... Not to mention 3 different OC's.. Is 80+ rec. 1,000 yards and 7 Tds a season.. Why is that so hard to make fit in your offense??

At least im being realistic. You want us to sign the best WR in FA like we have a ton of capspace.lol

#StopPlayingMadden

No your not..

1st you don't know how much money we will have for FA..

2nd You don't know what kind of offers Landry will command..

3rd You don't know what Landry state of mind when it comes to whether He's chasing money or willing to take less and play on a better team...

You are doing the same dumb poo we do every off season..

Instead of getting actual "proving" talent and production.. Meaning you have a longer than one year evidence of on the field production.

You rather sign some cheap flaud option you hope and pray can be a diamond in the ruff that every other team missed out on.. Wasting another one of Cam's prime years again when that players ends up being Russell Shepard, Leggadu Nana, dude with the high top fade, and many other cheap options this team put on the field with Cam...

At what point do you figure this path isn't working...

One good season and Terrell Pryor is some must have player?? Smh..

If that is the criteria why not Kamar Aiken, John Brown, Jordan Matthew's,  or Kendall Wright.. They all have put up better numbers than Pryor over their career. And probably cheaper..

We can dumpster dive for a few of these guys...

Pryor has greater potential, in my opinion.

And the lowest floor.. Because again he hasn't played WR his whole life like these other guys and only runs 2 routes in the route tree.. He is also like 27 - 28 .. His time to show potential is going fast...

Do you really want to waste more of Cam's prime years on a gamble??

And he had 3 QB's , none of them worth a poo , when he caught 77 passes .

Tired of signing guys with potential, go out there and get the guy you know can get it done

At what point does this fan base get this simple idea?

Smitty was the last WR on this team with a proven track record and not  a "I hope guy" , "he has potential to be this guy", .. We need a i know this guy can do this because he has a history of doing this...

So go sign Landry & blow the cap situation.

He had Cousins last year what happen??

And he was trying to play QB in Oakland before then.. So that's a BS excuse..

1 year wonder..

Landry has 4 years of production playing with who again??

Matthews has 3 years of production.. Who was his QB again??

Kendall Wright produced before Marriota got to Tenn. He had 59 rec. Playing with Glennon and Tribsky this year...

Do I have to keep going??

You're not blowing cap space getting a guy who is  80+ rec. 1,000 yard wr for his career avg..

How do you not see that??

You actual get what your looking for..

Instead of paying cheap prices hoping for a diamond in the ruff and ending up with coal..

Again we been doing this same poo for 4 years now... GUESS WHAT?? IT'S NOT WORKING!!

We could debate till : "the cows come up ".

We are in agreement that we need a high powered receiver--I don't want Hurney to break the bank.

We have already proven year after after year after year.. You aren't going to get a "high powerd WR by dumpster diving...

I want Hurney to do what he has to do to get "actual number 1 wr talent" in this offense.. If he has to spend a little bit more for quality than that is his job....

We can dumpster dive at other position.. But WR has been neglected for 2 long now...

    • We can't afford to reach for one of the first round QBs this year. I would love for nothing more than Bryce to be the reason we don't even scout the bastards
