Again "You don't think" Think is not knowing..

We don't know what we actually have financially yet..

We don't know what he is willing to take yet..

So let's not limit ourselves until we get a accurate pic. Of what we are dealing with and how the market plays out..

All we know now is Norv and Ron (especially  Ron) finally see how deficient we are in that position..

We need a number 1 threat on the outside to take this offense and this team to the next level..

The market is already set.lol

He is the #1 WR on the market right?

He will be paid as a #1 WR. This is how FA works. Best FA's available at their position usually gets top tier money.

Just saying you're all in on this guy who will likely be paid as a top 5 WR. If you think we are breaking the bank on 1 player who is not a game changing type WR with our cap you're crazy.

*Watched those highlights and one key thing I noticed, he is not a deep threat.

What does Norv Turner offense requires a deep threat. Im wiling to bet Landry is not even a WR they are looking at for his offense.

I really suggest that you listen to this to keep some context when it comes to Landry.  I have done my homework on the guy. @Saca312 tried to tell me that Landry was overrated because he was fed the ball,  but Landry can't help if he was their only sure thing.  He will kill you from the slot,  and that's what the preponderance of his routes are, and by a large margin.  His stats essentially went down this season,  but he still produced notwithstanding being basically misused (if not overused). Though I won't take anything from him and would love to have him,  he is likely going to be too costly, and his mastery is really not the direction in which our offense wants to go.  We need to get vertical. Any big money spent needs to be to that end.  We can likely get two guys with more upside in the way that we really want to go than one Landry.

Great post!

I just posted the same thing.

One we can't afford him! Second he is not a deep threat, and doesn't fit with Turner's offense.

Im thinking we go the combo signing of the cheaper WR's or trade for one.

Okay I'm going to say this one more time..

I don't care what Sac thinks or bumperfug blogger thinks..

I judge by my own eyes and what actually professional thinks..

Was Jerry Rice a vertical threat?? What about Deandre Hopkins.. Not very fast at all but both run excellent routes and have great hands.. Both can line up anywhere.

I'm hoping that we're doing this.

I would bet that Landry isn't even on the radar.

I agree. Not taking anything from Landry, he is great especially in the slot. He just doesn't fit our offense.

I can see Norv going after Wallace/Pryor as his deep threat guy, and one more of the cheaper WR's to complement them.

landry is a hell of a player but signing him would make cmc and Samuel obselete in the receiving end.

Damn glad you mentioned this. Totally forgot how CMC/Samuel do the exact same thing Landry does. Make plays in the slot.

We already have slot WR's on our team. Another reason to why Landry makes no sense with our personnel.

Bro are you trolling me?

How do you not know the market is already set for Landry? He is the best WR of his FA class. Teams with massive amounts of capspace are going to pay him top dollar for his position. Teams like the Browns and 49ers are going to have to spend money.

What do you not understand about the market already being set?

You and top dog are hypocrites.. In one sentence you call him just a slot guy and in another say he is getting top 3 WR money..

If other ppl think like you there is no way in hell he is getting Antino Brown Julio Jones money..

That’s the key reason imo not to pursue him, money secondly depending on the market. Speed and how well he can play outside full time come in question. I think if the fo and coaching staff truly want to get better at WR they’ll grab a guy like Robinson on a prove it deal, while grabbing another vet as well. I say this with the assumption Watkins doesn’t hit fa
