I'm pulling for them all succeed.  I like Ron the man and he's a decent coach.  I hope he and Norv can create a little magic this coming season I truly do.  The odds are against them somewhat but it's not impossible if they can get the right pieces in place.  The clock is working against them though.

Look man I want nothing more than to be wrong and for Norv to succeeded here. I just personally disagree not necessarily with the hire, but with how the interview process has played out. It seems clear to me that if Norv was not available that Rivera probably would not have canned Shula. I just wish they spent time interviewing a hand full of people instead of instantly zoning in on Norv. Even if you still are head strong about him at least hear a few different view points....

You are assuming Ron should be thinking long term.  He is not afforded that luxury.

and for the record, I wanted a guy like Jim Caldwell. Part of me thinks that ron is looking out for himself though... If an OC comes along who puts up over 30 PPG people could be calling for a mutiny.

I'd have much rather seen us get the Eagles QB coach or someone who's up and coming with a creative mind in tune with today's modern NFL.

I mean Air Coryell's fine, but it really stresses having elite OTs and receivers, and I don't see us having those. I'm also worried about whether our young receivers can pick it up.
