Josh Gordon in Norv Turner's offense missed two games and still led the league in 2013 with an outstanding 1,646 reception yards. His quarterbacks that season? Jason Campbell, Brandon Weeden, and Brian Hoyer, none of which are currently starting only three years later. In terms of pure talent, many rank him as a top 5 WR in the NFL. But talent was never the question for the explosive "Flash Gordon".

In July 2011, Gordon was suspended indefinitely from Baylor for testing positive for marijuana.

On July 5, 2014, Gordon was going 55 in a 35 MPH zone in Raleigh and was arrested for a DWI after blowing a .09. He was suspended from the NFL for one year.

In January 2015, Gordon tested positive for alcohol while in the NFL's substance abuse program and was again suspended for the season.

In September 2016, Gordon left the Cleveland Browns and checked himself into a rehab facility.

In November 2017, Gordon was reinstated into the NFL. In his first football game in three years he went for 85 yards receiving. A week later he would catch his first touchdown since 2014.

He's had great success with our new OC and with lesser QBs. He would instantly be the best wide receiver in franchise history outside of Steve Smith. The Browns have expressed interest in retaining him, so it would likely take a trade ahead of his upcoming free agency. His comeback has been highly publicized, with him stressing that he's turned over a new leaf and is now ready to do what he needs to do to provide for his family. Has he learned from the error of his ways or is he a ticking time bomb waiting to happen? Judge for yourself.

They'd trade him but for nothing less than a first I'm sure. And then you've got a basket case perennially suspended player who may have cleaned up his act, but also may not have (I remember the stories after previous suspensions about how he was good at that time and focused, etc. And then a few weeks after bam he's out indefinitely again). Oh and you've only got him for one year... Basically, it makes absolutely no sense to try to trade for him.

yeah basically

the only reason you would trade a top 5 talent at WR you have to pay less than $1M is if you think he is 100% going to relapse and be out of the NFL again or someone offered you a stupid amount of draft picks. meaning you dont want to be the team getting him because you've screwed up one way or the other.
