if you've at any point said "I want politics out of football," then you need to oppose Sebates owning even a piece of the team. He WILL use the Panthers to push his political agenda.

I know people have been trying to get in touch with Curry to clue him in to this, but don't know if it's been successful.

He's correct that the NBA was playing politics, and that's messed up.  The rest of his view points are fine for him as a private citizen and private business owner.  As a possible "owner" or representative owner for the Panthers, he should distance himself from the rest of his "rant."  It's just not helpful for him in a business sense to tie his personal beliefs to any aspect of ownership and decision making.

I'm not entirely show that this will have any effect on his pursuit of the Panthers.  This is going to be a money and getting along with the NFL issue.

So are we saying only left wing kooks get to buy NFL teams now?  Hate to break it to you but most left wing kooks hate the NFL and want it destroyed.  This guy is a dirtbag but holding an opinion roughly half the population agrees with shouldnt exclude him from anything, no matter how much it pisses off the inclusive tolerant left.

Sabates is a joke. Really hope he's not part of the new ownership group, but with his history with the Hornets (1.0 and 2.0) and the Checkers, I definitely see him as being a part of the group unfortunately.
