EDIT: Would Be Surprising If Norv Turner Isn’t A Done Deal

He has two years of experience as a QB coach, both under daddy. With Teddy Bridgewater. For the 27th and 29th rated NFL offenses. It’s widely known that Bridgewater never got comfortable in Norv’s offense because of how much he had to work under Center. You know, something that a QH coach is supposed to help develop. Frighteningly, we also have a QB who is much more accustomed to working from the shotgun.

Meanwhile, guys like Wade Wilson are available. A guy who has 15+ years as an NFL QB a coach and who has been to the SB as a QB coach.

so Cam can't work under center..?  I think it will help him and just give us more options especially in the redzone and goal line situations...we run the same d%$#@ play at the goal line and get stuffed over and over...if it is a regular part of the offense it gives us better chances for success...I think it keeps the Qb in the game mentally as a predominately shotgun based attack leads to complacency ...Wilson is a fine coach but he isn't our choice so why worry about it...

I hope they pull it off, but who would take the job? Seriously? How often does a QB coaching position for a playoff team with a former MVP QB open up? I don’t think there would’ve been any shortage of candidates. Everyone knew Shula’s offense was a turd and Cam is coming off of back to back subpar seasons. This is an ideal situation to look golden.

They don't have the time to reinvent the wheel.  Get the right tools and finish what they started.  The changes will be noticable and fans will have visions of Chud dancing in their head.

They've got 2 years to deliver a title or there will be a reset.  Book it.

there's going to be a reset in 2 years either way...that's exactly what the extension was all about... it makes me wonder if the ownership question has been answered behind closed doors already. But you nailed it on finishing what was started... I think its going to work big time...

I see a fullback being used so that's victory to me + > Shula already.

Also in regards to your other tweet. Yea i'll take Aikman(Turner did Aikmans HoF intro) and Rivers opinion over some twitter scrub.

At first this was my thought.  But now that I've had time to digest the news I'm not so sure this is a bad thing.

With the right tweaks in a hand full of positions it just might work.  But they will have to hit in FA and have a solid draft to pull it off.  I can't be certain of my theory until I see what positions are upgraded in each but if it plays out like I think it will we may be looking at our first back to back winning seasons.

Also you gotta see who is against this and realize holy poo we're gonna be great.

One of those tweets called him "Norm" lol that would be the ole grammar part.
