This fan base has fallen off a cliff when it comes to this Norv Turner hatred

Who do you want?

I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually in full favor of Chud. We now have the kind of hybrid gadget players he was always made for, he's gotten a proper dose of having a terrible o-line at Indy, and I think Rivera's conservative style would keep him grounded now.

Otherwise, whoever's available with an offense system that compliments our players. I care more about what kind of game they run than what they did with completely different personnel. I think Turner's resume is great but his style of football is the problem with the Panthers today.

Norv is an improvement over Shula.

But just like with Shula what ultimately matters most.....is the talent and execution.   I still maintain you simply gave Shula a slightly better LT than Matt and a real deep threat WR?  Cam makes his O one of the best in the NFL

Can you really blame people? The guy has never had consistent success regardless of where he has gone.

People have pointed to the fact that Turner hasn't coached a top 15 offense since 2011; and the only argument that can be provided is that he hasn't gotten to work with the type of personnel the Panthers have. That is correct, what's also correct is that he worked with a Charger's team that had much better players than are on our current roster. How you do not win a Super Bowl with Rivers, Tomlinson, Turner, Sproles, Neal, Jackson, Floyd, Chambers, McNeill, Dielman, etc. is beyond me... I mean that offense was stacked. He took an identical team that went 14-2 the year before and wound up lucky to make the playoffs.

This is a fan base that lambasted Shula for playing conservative and wants to replace him with a guy that is notorious for settling for three points. A guy that settled for three with 10 seconds left on the clock when his team had the ball inside the 10 yard line.

We're talking about a guy who was quoted as saying the following, “It’s a good play, there’s no reason to check out of it" when Dwight Freeney beat MATT KALIL in 2015 to sack Bridgewater (and force a fumble) to end the game (when the Vikings were already in field goal range) after Turner's crossing route play took FOREVER to develop.

Now I'm not totally against Turner, but he certainly isn't my top choice but it would be foolish to not explore other options.

They used to say the same thing with Tony Romo. The issue is that Cam can be so dominating one moment and awful the next that he makes it hard for a consistent offense. It isn't that Cam got Shula fired so much as Shula built the offense around Cam and he was given control over the audibles and everything. So he was the reason we struggled or succeeded. Now add that Shula gets no credit because it all goes to Cam and it means that Shula was given no credit if things worked and blamed if it failed.

Lol and who’s fault is that?

Cam has to lead this team in rushing as well as make decisions at the LOS and complete X number of passes for this offense to be successful. Name another situation where an offense was designed around the quarterback leading the team in rushing as well as being asked to perform in the passing game at the level Cam has. It isn’t possible, but Cam literally willed his way through it.

Shula’s undoing was his own.

I like Chud...does he like us, is he a candidate? Can you really go home again...chemistry is a concern.

You realize that Chud is a rip-off and using the playbook that Norv Turner mastered? Right?

Do you just want Chud because he’s “different”?

All those gadget plays, everything, Turner has done it better than Chud.

Chud was not a great OC and even worse head coach. Sure he didn't have Luck this year but tell how he did with Indy this year as OC.

Plus I heard that when Chud was here the scuttlebutt was that he limited Cam to one or two plays. He couldn't audible and Chud thought he wasn't bright enough to read defenses and call plays on his own.

Is that the OC you want for Cam? After Cam's first season and defenses saw him, his production dropped off. Plus Chud is the one who brought in the read option and had Cam running all the time. No Chud was ok for when he was here but would be a big step back now.

Atlanta and Michael Vick.
