What do y'all think if this happens? I don't think Simmie Cobbs will be there in the 3rd round, but from now to the draft, a lot of movement will be taking place.

Draft.PNG

I can't remotely accept an edge rusher in round 1 though it does seem like something Carolina would do.

TE in round 2 is equally concerning.

Here is what I got using the same site:

R1 P24 // Tarvarus McFadden // CB // Florida State University

Cornerback has been the biggest concern on this team for a minute now outside of a wide receiver. It should have been painfully obvious against the saints that we have to get someone to stop the pass. Corn Elder might be a step in the right direction but we would benefit largely from a round 1 talent at CB

R2 P23 // Equanimeous St. Brown // WR // Notre Dame

This kid is a tremendous talent and if he's available in the second round we shouldn't hesitate to snatch him up. Our other glaring issue is WR for sure. If you look at our starting WR's the last few seasons most of them wouldn't even make the roster on a lot of other teams. Cam has to have some help in this area or he'll keep Brett Favre'ing it and forcing too many throws.

R3 P21 // Jeff Holland // EDGE // Auburn

His size will scare some teams away from him but this kid is a legitimate edge bender with plenty of experience at the linebacker position as well. If he is available in the third round then the other teams are fools and he'd be an excellent 3rd down pass rusher and eventual full time starter on the end for us. Resign JP and let him mentor the kid.

R3 P24 // Ken Webster // CB // Ole Miss

Not my favorite pick out of my draft but I felt I needed to go CB again before the 4th round where we don't have a pick. I think his ceiling is higher than most of the CB's on our current depth chart and he'll only slide this low into the draft due to an injury that he has already recovered from. He could be an animal for us in the slot as he develops.

R5 P24 // Kamryn Pettway // RB / Auburn

Now this was a hard pick because Kerryon Johnson from Auburn was also still available. However, I think KP serves as a better compliment to McCaffrey's game and give us a bruiser between the tackles. When he's healthy it's likely that he is one of the best running backs coming out of the SEC.

R6 P23 // Austin Roberts // TE // UCLA

This is kind of a personal pick for me. He has excellent size, speed, and frame for the position. Cam has always been good at connecting with Tight Ends and I think Greg Olsen could really groom him to be a talent in the NFL. If Norv Turner is going to be our Offensive Coordinator then he knows how to use an athletic tight end with a slighter frame a la Antonio Gates.

R7 P16 // Austin Corbett // OT //  Nevada

6'4" 305 lbs. and he looks like he still has some room to grow and bulk up. Four year starter at Left Tackle with excellent hand work and lots of potential. I do wish I would have addressed LT a lot sooner but this isn't a terrible pick for the seventh round of the NFL draft.

R7 P24 // Jaylen Smith // WR // Louisville

This would be an insane pickup in the seventh round of the draft. His stats weren't world shattering at Louisville but he has all of the tools to be much more than he was in college. Again, I think he would be a tremendous step up in terms of talent over Russell Shepherd and I have no doubt that in the slot he could be more productive.

I think we have the potential in this draft to really bolster this team but it's going to take some active work in Free Agency, reasonable cuts to the current lineup, and drafting with a better thought process then the team has used in recent years.

I like what you did. I'm really high on Mark Andrews and feel like Olsen can groom him to be his successor. The first pick was the hardest for me because I didn't have many other options. Ridley and McFadden were gone and it was too early for James Washington. I do really like Pettway and agree with you on Jaylen Smith.

I got you! I really want to do one where I can pick for every team because some teams took players I wanted but there is no way that team would have taken them. Hope that makes sense lol.

Not awful.. but I think Simmie Cobbs Jr. is too much in the Funchess/KB mold.

same thing with Courtland SUtton and I'm seeing a few mocks with us picking him. Then what was the point of releasing KB?

Sutton's primary issue on almost every analysis and video i could find on him is that he doesn't get great separation and isnt really fast.

i would hope we got a good Saftey, Cornerback, AND DE in Free Agency lol. As inconsistent as our offense was last year , defense was terrible in multiple games
