Next OC will make or break Ron Rivera

With new ownership on the horizon I have to believe that Ron knows his choice for OC is extremely important. If the offense continues to stumble it’s probably a certainty that Ron will be working somewhere else very soon.

Which makes me wonder why Ron would interview only Norv Turner when there are other well respected candidates out there. If Norv is the only guy brought in I will be very surprised.

I agree.  If the next one does worse, he's done.  The problem is, we are in the hardest division in football and we made it to the playoffs again.  Many of us believe that  talent on the field compensated for poor scheme.  We all want a powerhouse offense like the Patriots.   We need a scheme that is unpredictable, gives us open receivers and limits the number of running plays that result in a loss.  It needs to build on the limited success our offense has had.

That said, our  defense wasn't perfect this season either.  If we don't fix the secondary, we'll die in the playoffs again.

Swept by the Saints....uhhhg.   Somebody had to pay.

So far it is Norv that was brought in and will get OC job as it looks right now.

Since Bruce Arians is retiring would he take a position less than HC spot like OC or DC or whatever he is known for on this team if a sign of interest was made.
