After Minnesota, I think he decided to step away. He is getting up there and may well be more focused on his son's career now than his own.

But in the video MJ posted, he said he'd be willing to return to coaching only for "a unique situation". You could make a pretty good argument that we offer that.

That's what I was hinting at, when Norv Turner is just focused at being an OC good things happen, and then he ends up Getting A HC job somewhere. maybe he's willing to just stick it out as an OC for a bit this time? would be nice to have a good coordinator hang around for a while.

I am excited I think he will make cam a better quarterback we will more power running which actually works and get rid of this zone blocking. We will see cam on more roll outs which from the few he has ran he got chunk yards which baffled me why we never do it consistently.

so with this move we could end up with Washington who would be a great deep threat or a bunch offensive lineman there are some good road graders in this draft either way safety will be within the first two picks I can assure you that

Evolutionary not revolutionary.

If Norv makes better play calling decisions, is capable of making in game adjustments and cleans up receiver routes... this hire might just work.

I don't think he's interested in being a head coach anymore. And for us, that's a good thing.

One of the most well known OC’s of the past 20 years. Definitely an upgrade over Shula. Yes, a young OC would have been nice, but Sean Mcvays don’t grow on trees

I want to know how the Rooney rule has been, or will be satisfied.

Does it apply to coordinators?

Ron said they had a couple, few candidates in mind. Did he just wake up at 3am and go, "I wonder if I can convince Norv to come back? I'll dial him up on the rotary phone and ask him at 5am when he's finishing his breakfast."

And then Norv is like, yeah I can come back and work with all the other members of my family. Make my son the QB coach, my nephew the assistant QB coach, my brother a consultant, it'll be fun. After all, you've got a family oriented organization down there. 

And so Ron goes running into Hurney's office at 730am this morning and is like, "You'll never guess who I just got off the phone with!" And with his super boner, he fires Shula and quickly jots down a few other names for the OC position, oddly enough 3 of them have the same last name as Norv....

Then calls the press conference, and here we are. 

There were never any other candidates for real.

At least we can confirm our suspicions that the people comparing him to Shula have no room to talk NFL ever again and we can solidify their lack of football knowledge.
