#Panthers coach Ron Rivera will meet with Norv Turner again today to answer some questions and if it continues to go well, Turner will be the #Panthers new offensive coordinator. His son Scott Turner likely joins the staff, as well.

Questions...like what about ownership? I have a feeling that the "in limbo" status of this franchise will have a negative impact on anyone coming here, including players and coaches.

I can't imagine it's about money, though anything's possible.

Like I said, it could be about Scott.

Guess we'll find out eventually.

Not trying to be flip here, but could be about the read option. Rivera wants to keep it, Turner doesn't use it. They're working on a compromise right now. They just want to make sure they're in agreement about it.

That's a legit possibility.

Dumping it completely might lead to a discussion with Cam as well.

The more I think about it, the read-option stuff could definitely be a sticking point.

As mentioned elsewhere, Turner left the Vikings because Zimmer was trying to dictate things to him about the offense.  If Rivera insists on keeping the read-option stuff, Turner could balk at the idea.

To be honest, I wouldn't want Rivera telling me how to run an offense either.  He's not good at it.

Read option relies on cam,s reads which often leads to cams runs. Norv May want to minimize reliance on cams runs and have more plays from center like at Dallas or San Diego.
