Samuel was not used correctly.  He is talent.  All we need is 1 #1 WR and we are set at this position.  Samuel will completely destroy people in slot if used correctly.  He is extremely fast and quick and in space, he is deadly.  Do not be surprised if we draft RB in first.  Someone around 230lbs with 4.5 wheels and quickness.  We will also either sign or draft a blocking TE who is a good receiver.

Hardly anyone was used correctly. But yea this FA has some #1s we can get...

So you guys are starting to spread some positive waves,.. maybe this will work?

in all seriousness— Chud 2011 has Steve smith, Shockey, healthy Deangelo and Stewart, our offensive lines still had Jordan gross eta all. Didn’t we have Naani also? Legadu or something right?

our running backs ran for 5.4ypc, caught for 300+ yards each bla bla bla..

so to get norv to work, we need more receivers— more running backs,.. more tightends and a better offensive line?

sold.

All I know is that we need a 21st century offense... If Turner knows how to unf**k what we have now and make it work then I say sign the man.

Ron is confident the Norv can unf**k it.  At least it's an attempt to get the guy who mastered the style of offense he wants.

It's a bold move cotton, let's hope it works.

This makes me feel better, Jesus. I was starting to get all emo and depressed after seeing the anti Norv posts today but I'm starting to feel better after reading this

I could of ran offense better than Shula.  Shula tried to evolve and create faster passing attack by running shorter routes.  He did not took into account that by doing this, he will bring safeties forward and his offense will completely fail.  Just awful coordinating.  He could of try that out in madden, madden will automatically adjust by bringing safeties forward if you pass 5-15 yards 5 times in a row. Lol

“Sproles was an electric playmaker who averaged 4.6 yards per carry and 9.6 yards per reception while scoring 17 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns.”

This is the type of production we are looking to have from CMC. I’m surprised this stat wouldn’t get Turner the job right by itself.

Shula retarded 10-15 yard routes brought safeties forward, creating 9-10 men in the box and completely destroying our run game.  When you have 9-10 people in the box... blitzes are more effective and many times you don’t know who is blitzing and who is dropping back.  Air Coryell makes WRs run deep routes and RB and TEs run 5-15 yard routes.  2 big WRs require attention of corners and safeties, leaving RBs and TEs covered by LBs and sometimes just 1 safety.  Huge mismatch. Shula clustered 10-15 yards of scrimmage... destroying both the run and pass game.

Panthers should have 1 big WR & 1 small speedy WR on opposite sides, don’t need another KB experiment again. Good thing with current core  of TEs & WRs is that they can run all the routes to exploit different coverages.

A true Air Coryell system spreads the field so much that the defense has to play sideline to sideline and deep.  Receivers are always running in opposite directions.  For some reason, shulas offense had receivers running routes toward and often Into each other.  Made no sense at all.  Guys never got open because the defense had it easy...all our receivers ran to each other drawing multiple defenders into every play.

That won’t be a problem with Norv.  If we add speed, you can be rest assured that Cams huge arm will be taken advantage of with downfield shots in 1 on 1 coverages.

1. Pick up a WR (FA) that has good route running, good speed, and reliable hands.

2. Grab a RB (Round 3-4) management has already said it is a deep draft)

3. Grab a TE (Round 2-3) to pair with Olsen

4. Activate Armah

5. Get back Samuel and Byrd

6. Pick up a CB (Round 1-2)

7. Pick up a D-lineman (Round 1-3 or FA)

8. Resign Norwell

This would have us sitting real nice IMO

I’m ok with the CB situation, rather get a ball hawk safety similar to Malik Hooker 6’-0” + and 4.5 sec or below 40 yds time.

Same here, we're not going to get much better at cornerback IMO and the little bit better we might be able to do will mean sacrifices in other areas of need that will help us more.
