Which FA WR do you think would help the most knowing Norv’s system?

You need speed, size, and hands...to be honest, he's not a FA but may be soon...someone like Dez Bryant, or more fitting Martavis Bryant, he would be one of the top 5 out there to put in Norv's system.

Need to be able to win contested catches against DB's, so size is important, but it's not the end all be all.  Funch may be able to fill the roll over time...but it will take a while.

Funchess just isn’t that guy, not his style. He never has been (college too) and never will be. That second last play Sunday summed It up. I only say that because I’d ate to see us put all our eggs in his basket.

I believe Dez will be a cap casualty this offseason but he’s lost a step. Now that you mentioned Dez, I wonder if the Broncos would entertain trade offers for Demariyus Thomas. I don’t see why they would especially if they draft a QB round 1 but Dez made me think of Bey Bey.

There’s Courtland Sutton who I don’t think will be there at 24 but you never know. I also don’t want to rely on a rookie (unless it’s Ridley) to come in and fill that spot.

Allen Robinson if he doesn’t get tagged wouldn’t be a bad choice.

I would definitely be upset if we went out and signed Terrell Pryor. He semi fits the mold with his deep speed, size and hands. He lacks the ability to explode out of his breaks and isn’t much of a route runner.

I’m not the biggest Watkins fan but he’s strong and has good speed...

I just really hope they do whatever it takes to find that guy and don’t bank on Funchess taking that next step.

Donte Moncrief and Martavis Bryant (like you mentioned) could be our guys

did you mean you wouldn't be upset about pryor? just curious.

good list, but i can see several of these guys going big money and probably going outside of our reach.

Didn't SACA used to go by "optimistic Panthers fan" on twitter, what happened to that guy?

Now he just regurgitates whatever Marxist Panther, Billy M, and Canadian Panther say. Those guys are fine, but they are pretty negative about everything. Pretty sure Billy M said the Panthers wouldn't win 6 games this year.

I miss the old SACA, who had posts about us winning it all

Too busy lately to post my own content. Pretty much all year in fact. Partly because I wasn’t motivated with how bad the quality of this site dipped.

I just post stuff I agree with and guys who are generally smart when I feel like it. With draft season, I’ll probably begin going back to my old formats when I make some time.

I was intrigued by Pryor’s last season in Cleveland but the fact he couldn’t build on that with Cousins concerns me (however I don’t know the story there).

If we did sign him though I could be sold on it pending the routes we expect him to run.

If Norv is expecting him to win deep on go routes that’ll be a problem. But if he allows Pryor to run routes where he’s able to use his frame that’s ok. I have no idea what happened in Washington this season (maybe someone else knows?) if it was a scheme thing or a Pryor thing.

Pryor definitely knows how to use his body.

But now that you made me actually think about it... I’m actually not sure if I’d be upset or not. I do think we can and I would like us to do better than Pryor though

a combo of FA and drafting a WR should be the way we go unless we can snare 2 solid FA's... I'd love to see a Kirk/Sutton Draft with a good FA rec.

Kirk isn't as big but I like his attitude and he is a playmaker...but on the other hand Sutton !!!

On ESPN today they speculated that Norv would try to make Cam an orchestrator rather than a playmaker using the example of Steve young. That means no more zone read. Problem they said that Cam wouldn’t do it effectively.

Key word...speculated

Lol so you are admitting to be an impartial homer ? Yes I agree the quality has dropped here . It seems to have started around the time you showed up

We will see. Steve Young said no qb has ever won the super bowl as the main playmaker. I doubt things would go well if Norv tries to change Cams role.

I admire Steve Young for what he did but he never struck me as a great football mind...

How do we know Norv hasn't spent his time off coming up with some offensive scheme straight out of an episode of The Jetsons??  (optimism)

I have no doubt he has had specific conversations about our offense and what could be done to make it go...
