If new owner wants a new stadium would you be mad if it’s not uptown?

I worry that anyone who wants to build a new stadium knows that the taxpayers, city, and state would revolt and they can use that as an excuse to relocate. Don’t think the league would support it, but it’s beyond fishy.

Taxpayers may not be happy, but I think the city and the state are more likely to bend over then to revolt.

I don’t know if you’re kidding or not, but the Georgia Dome was way more of a dump than BOA. That said, they could have renovated for way less money.

the GA Dome was built in the 90s and no way was ready to be demolished

The city and state are willing to bend that tax payers over to prevent that from happening.  That is what pisses me off honestly.  If the new owners want a dome they will get one, bank it.

I would be. I think that's what makes BOA Stadium so nice. Tbh, there is no room uptown for a new stadium or dome and building it elsewhere won't bring a Super Bowl bc of hotels.

AT&T stadium has yet to host  Super Bowl bc of that reason IMO.

AT&T Stadium did host Super Bowl XLV: Packers vs. Steelers

Ultimately, I'm good either way as long as the Panthers play in the Charlotte market. My preference, though, is to stay at BOA which still has a lot of life left in it. With a location shifting toward the NC/SC line, it just doesn't make logistical sense for fans and patrons in comparison to Center City. Everything was pushed to be built in Uptown Charlotte for all the amenities and attractions there (restaurants, bars, ease of travel, nightlife, hotel expansion, etc.) and that's why the Panthers, Hornets, and Knights are thriving. You can best believe an entire sports/entertainment complex would be built all around the new locale, if it happened.
