If new owner wants a new stadium would you be mad if it’s not uptown?

Would be a HORRIBLE decision to move from Uptown CLT... I would definitely be against it.

The Panthers have an AWESOME thing going with the downtown setting, it's one of the best in the league. I'd be MUCH MORE for renovating/modernizing the current stadium (see: Solider Field), which could end up being still one of the best/most modern stadiums in the BFL, but also where it should be; Uptown CLT. You would think Local owners have to know this.

The local “owners” obviously do not know this by allowing and obviously touting these absurd stories to leak so frequently.

I’d burn this mother fugger down...

ok I first thought that plan in the pic was the pitch. If it’s not uptown I’d rather it stay in Meck county...no offense to union, Gaston, or Cabarrus county...but meh

Who the hell am I... but any owner who wants a new stadium is a non-starter for me. What kind of businessman tears down a perfectly good stadium?

I’ve never walked into BOA and thought, ‘This place needs to go.’

You’re in a group which includes every human being on earth with a brain not named Felix the jackass or a beneficiary of Felix the jackass.

You would think that BoA was on par as the old Vet in philly.

They keep mentioning Minnesota in all these absurd articles.  Is BOA a dump like the Metrodome was?  Is BOA as old as the Metrodome was?  Does Charlotte get Minnesota levels of snowfall?  Is BOA at risk of having a similar roof collapse due to snow?  Does Minnesota have more people than the Carolinas?  (10 million less in fact). Is Los Angeles still in play as it was when Minnesota approved their new stadium?  Has there been any positive to the latest franchise move (Chargers)?

A lot of no’s, hell no’s, and fug no’s.

I worry that anyone who wants to build a new stadium knows that the taxpayers, city, and state would revolt and they can use that as an excuse to relocate. Don’t think the league would support it, but it’s beyond fishy.

I don’t mind repeating the same chorus I’ve sung before (ie-the truth)-and that is that there is zero sane relocation threat.  Truth be told there are barely even insane ones.  PT Barnum said there’s a sucker born every minute and Felix the jackass is simply hoping there are enough at the state and local government level, regardless of the facts or outrage.

    • Just had Thanksgiving meal with a couple dozen family and friends. I lucked out and got one of the smoked turkey legs. Stuffing, mashed taters and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, kale, smoked ham, chicken and rice, corn, lima beans, cranberry sauce, and great people. My brother got his guitar out and we got to singing. Lots of actual conversations with people I hardly  ever get to see, haven't seen in a while, or who I never met before. Just a great moment to remember.
    • 3-8 would be a higher win percentage than 3-9
    • Same... With the personnel the Niners had, that defense could have been historically good in the right hands. Under Wilks they were certainly good, they didn't quite rise to that level. Honestly, I see Wilks kinda like I see Rivera: fantastic person, decent head coach. Skill wise, phenomenal DB coach, so-so DC. His greatest strength is his leadership. Hard to find many better in that department. In the Xs and Os / execution area though, not as good. Bottom Line: Wilks is the sort of coach that needs a staff that excels in those aspects of the game where he's weaker. But, like Rivera, I don't know that he scouts assistants very well. That as much as anything might be why he's not in the NFL now.
