Not a fan of Norv, would have liked this hire 7 years ago but not now. Still Ill give it a chance. The fact Dorsey was let go to says something about what Rivera/Hurney think of Cams development as a passer.

I mean, I'm not sure how much you guys know about Norv, but I watched probably every Charger's game during his tenure. The dude is a teddy bear, I don't think I ever once saw him get hot. Very much a player's coach, ever moreso than Ron.He's not the one to bring the hammer down on Cam. That'll have to be up to whoever we bring in as QB catch.

He tried to get Norv as his OC when Chudzinski left to coach the Browns, but Norv actually ended up as Chudzinski's OC instead.

On the bright side, since there’s no way any of our young receivers are going to be picking up on Norv’s system this season, Rivera may finally be canned for being a fraud.

Imagine passing up promising young guys like the Eagles QB coach and potential college prospects with offensive ideas far surpassing the current state of the NFL to go back in time to the ‘90s with a guy who quit on his team.

The issue I have is we could have an offensive juggernaut. College concepts are working, and new and bright young guys are proving they’re ahead of the game of the old. Cam just needs someone who’s motivated to maximize the true talent he is.

Experience doesn’t matter in comparison to guys with great schemes, playcalls, and new ideas for football. The most successful are the ones with the most prolific offenses.

Norv Turner doesn’t bring that. Not even close.

No one is arguing against this though. The topic is would Norv be good with Cam....it's not is Norv better than this or that other prospect. Simply put...yes Norv can use this offense and Cam and be better than Shula was with it.

Are there better/younger guys who have more upside? duh

But that don't mean Norv wouldn't work out.
