Norv would be good for Cam.

whoever it is doesn’t have to be overly creative, just competent. the fact shula couldn’t do anything with the generational talent he had at his disposal speaks volumes.

the new OC pretty much just has to come in and not step on his own dick.

yeah, seems like him and Cam would get along as well.

Also, never hurts to have someone as seasoned and experienced as Norv.

I am betting that Ron and Norv have been talking for years, and Ron already has a good idea about how he would use Cam.

Norv probably wanted as specifc QB coach, and that is another reason Dorsey is gone too.

quite a lot of things could be pointing in that direction. he mentioned what he had seen in carolina in that video clip. could be he's been talking with his brother and nephew about cam and co. so he may have been mulling it over in the back of his mind for a while.

hard to believe that rivera would have fired shula and dorsey if he didn't have a plan b ready.

Schematically Shula wasn't even that bad, it was situational playcalling that were the most baffling and horrific part of what he did. If someone took Shula's exact playbook but called it like an experienced and wise OC, it would be magic.

Eh, guess you missed all those plays where receivers were running to the exact same location on the field. That’s a bad scheme. Shula wasn’t all bad schematically, 2015 was one of the most complex running games in all of football and we ran it beautifully. We just desperately need someone who can get the most out of Cam, and Shula ain’t it.

Said it once, I'll say it again.

Cam needs someone that isn't afraid to upset him. The entire offensive coaching staff tip toes around Cam.

Norv Turner has the resume not to hold back when Cam fugs up. And that will be good for Cam in the long run.

You havent said this and I can't believe you waited this long because I've been waiting for some semblance of verification for suspecting this for a year

Would much prefer a younger OC, and hire Norv as a consultant....

Were we to hire Norv, he would likely clean up Cam's footwork, and if we were able to find a legit deep threat...pair that with Norv's O, and Cam's arm...look out.

CMC would have a hell of a year under Norv as well.

With all this smoke, at this point, I would be surprised if it wasnt Norv.

I 100% agree with this, which is why we would have games where his dart board approach worked. The man can design plays, specifically in the run game. But he doesnt know how, who, what when and where to use them. That became blatantly clear.

Mr Scot and I were just speculating Scott Turner.

if he happy with him, has done very well with 3 completely different quarterbacks in Minni and has watched Pat Shurmur do what he does and has Norv for a father,..

thats my choice.

OC or QB Coach?

I like Wade Wilson for QB Coach.  And he's established so it'd be the same effect.
