Norv would be good for Cam.

Do you guys ever learn anything?

I wouldn't be pissed about Norv, but crowing about accountability from Cam Newton while suggesting the same sort of tired retreads from a bygone era that have been the sort of moves that have kept this franchise stagnant for years doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you want brutal honesty. Move forward already. It's 2018.

Said it once, I'll say it again.

Cam needs someone that isn't afraid to upset him. The entire offensive coaching staff tip toes around Cam.

Norv Turner has the resume not to hold back when Cam fugs up. And that will be good for Cam in the long run.

Totally agree

he needs to be challenged and he hasn't been other than running for his life on sundays

growth is needed

ok....i'm a bit more open to the idea. seems like he's not a micro-manager, which is a trait i have always hated in coaches and leaders in general. does a good job of listening to the players and encouraging them to use common sense.

we'll see. there's worse options out there.

yeah, seems like him and Cam would get along as well.

Also, never hurts to have someone as seasoned and experienced as Norv.

I am betting that Ron and Norv have been talking for years, and Ron already has a good idea about how he would use Cam.

Norv probably wanted as specifc QB coach, and that is another reason Dorsey is gone too.

Personality wise maybe, schematically he’s very Shula-like.

Schematically Shula wasn't even that bad, it was situational playcalling that were the most baffling and horrific part of what he did. If someone took Shula's exact playbook but called it like an experienced and wise OC, it would be magic.

Don’t disagree, but if the team wants a “fresh” perspective, he’s not really that.

It’s probably Norvs playbook that is also Chuds playbook.

just like Klinks playbook was Reid’s playbook but was Bill Walsh’s playbook.

all the same playbook called with different styles and protections.

shulas situational play calling was slow, often wrong—

one play in the endzone we saw where cam got sacked had everyone going right except one going left, seems ok until you look at the routes that all ran into each other, none were misdirection or got anyone alone, and they were slow to develop.

a good OC would have called the same play but with routes that got the defense pulled apart.

Shula did That repeatedly and slow.
