Prob the only one but I wouldn't mind seeing Marc Trestman in some offensive role. Made Cutler look decent. If OC, would implement some shorter drops and quicker passes to potentially take advantage of players like CMC and Samuel and potentiall keep Cam alive.

Trestman is a pure WCO guy.  Probably not best for Cam.

I would be happy with Caldwell here after what he did in BAL & IND. McAdoo for the same reason....some guys are better coordinators than HC.

As for Shurmur, it may not be as stale and WC offense as previously thought. It looks like Chip Kelly rubbed off on him a bit and his style combines the spread w/ some RPO to it. With the personnel we have, quicker routes to set up the run game seems ideal rather than the time consuming deeper routes.

The Vikings with Case under center had the #11 in total yards and passing yards, 7th in rushing and 10th in total points scored.

Cam + CMC + Samuel + Olsen + Funch + FA WR (Lee, Richardson, Watkins) in a uptempo system could be interesting. As long as Cam stays in the shotgun, it should play to his strength.

Because of how long it takes for a sale to take place, the Panthers will have to put together a staff before the actual sale even occurs or risk losing out on any of their primary options. It's certainly different as most owners would like a say in their entire staff. Our incoming owners look like they are at the very least going to have to be comfortable with the staff in place for one year and then if we have a rough season they can clean house.

It sure is a tough year to be undergoing new ownership as well as more thank likely having to retool not only the QB Coach and OC coach positions but potentially the DC, DE, and LB position coaches as well depending on outside hired and promotions.

Lee seems like the best fit of all FAs

I want the coach who is most qualified for the job, not the one that Ron has worked with in the past...if that's the answer, so be it.

Do not want a true WCO guy in here, but someone with E/P background would be OK in my book.

Always loved Norv's game, but that game is getting up there in years...wouldn't mind bringing him in as an offensive consultant, but not sure I want someone that old as the OC.

Outside of the organization with head coaching experience. We need someone who can provide Rivera with a fresh of eyes, no emotional connection with existing players, and maybe even make Ron a little nervous about possibly replacing him if things turn south. Everyone needs a fire lit under their ass.

Some of Ron's former colleagues are WCO guys (from his Eagle days)
