Am I overreacting to say we need an entire secondary change?

You play press with zone and basically hold your man up at the line as long as possible to give the rush a chance. When he gets by, your trail them and wait for your help over top or inside. It isn't like man coverage where you try to stick with them step for step. So again, I didn't see them get beat so much as I saw them playing to their help which is their responsibility.

I said I expect Bradberry to stay on his trajectory. He will be heading in to Year 3 far ahead of where Norman was in Year 3. Regardless, you obviously aren't going to change your mind considering what Madden shows must be true.

Cool that's fine, but we did MAN Bradberry on Evans. Mostly where Evans went, Bradberry followed even in the slot. We ran zone at times too. The first ATL game Bradberry did man on Julio, we zoned too

I have the game, I'm watching it right now. I have most of the games as I have the last 4 seasons. And I don't play Madden, so nice try

And where Norman was his year 3 doesn't mean poo and super irrelevant to Bradberry.

It is relevant.

Both corners, slot corner and safeties need to be replaced. Your secondary needs to be independent of your pass rush, not dependent. What we have now aint got the answers Sway

I would call the Seahawks and ask what would like for Earl Thomas. I'm going after Malcolm Butler, TJ Ward, I'm bringing Tre Boston back and Kyle Fuller if we can't get him. I wish we could bring Leonard Johnson back but we're stuck with Captain it seems

Yes you would be,  in addition to asking for the impossible in one off-season during an ownership change and possible GM search...

We will have Corn Elder to compete for the slot. I think Bradberry is fine, but we need one other starting CB and at least one Safety. Leaving these 2nd year CBs on and island with bad safety coverage behind them was a tough task. I think a safety with range combined with less blitzing will make the CBs look better. I mean Brees had like 30 more yards passing than Cam and the Saints have solid CBs....

drafting more cornerbacks probably isnt the answer. drafted 4 in the past 2 drafts, and we still have a problem there .

I would say we need to draft 1 saftey, maybe even 2. We are both old and undertalented at Saftey. And the management has been BSing that position for years on end with free agent band aids and not made an honest attempt at a long term answer in quite a while.

i think we have to stick with our 2 outside CBs whether we like it or not. it's reasonable to expect improvement in their 3rd year and we have other holes to fill. corn elder will also return to compete with captain, who should probably be cut depending on his cap hit. i could see us drafting a SS in the early rounds though.

I'd like to keep the secondary and continue developing them. If a good replacement becomes available in free agency for cheap enough, sure, but i don't want us drafting any secondary or paying crazy prices. As much as everyone here says Bradberry and Worley are garbage, if we let them go someone else would pick them up and they'd play solid for whoever did. They're still young enough to where this isn't necessarily indicative of how they'll play the rest of their careers, they can get better. I'm satisfied with secondary. I'd rather we get a beast DE that can bring a pass rush. We have KK up the middle(assuming he plays how he's capable of), and hopefully pep stays with us another season, all we need is a DE on the other side who can bring pressure and then Worley and whoever else we plug in will become serviceable enough.

Regardless of that, we really just need to focus on offense and load cam up with as much offensive power around him as possible.

That’s one thing I can say about coleman, he’s always in the right position majority of the time, the probelm is his physical ablitly is lacking and causes big plays to get made on him, we’ve seen it time after time with jump ball situations with him, right postion just not athletic enough to make the play. Same for adams, I’m fine with the cb’s but I would like more competition at the postition, worley played better when his job was on the line
