Am I overreacting to say we need an entire secondary change?

You mean like when he intercepted Brees in the end zone on the last play to stop the Saints from winning that game...on his own

revisionist history can be challenged

Which doesn't matter anyway, as our current DBs aren't picking those guys off like that so....he had no point to begin with.

I'm just saying he's always put avg at best people back there or no names who made their name back there then went elsewhere.

We should have kept Mike Mitchell and he should still be laying people out....they don't wanna spend a lot of money back there....just the way it is with a Rivera Defense.

I don't think Worley tackles well enough...Bradberry is actually like Norman in his tackling, that is to say both get up in there and aren't afraid....did I miss something from Worley that leads you to believe he can thump? So why SS and not FS?

We gotta have more speed back there regardless don't think anyone can argue that...we always wanna have some old ass white men(black in this case) can't jump fools back there.

Worley is a liability in coverage but he's very good in run support. He's a very good tackler. Skill-wise I think he's a better fit at safety than at CB.

with the amount of blitzing there is no surprise we got torched more often. eh its almost pointless to talk logical to some of you knee-jerkers, carry on.

Oversimplification. It's a double edged sword. The reason we blitzed so much is that we knew we couldn't cover. If you can't cover you better try to get after the QB.

You sure? We had the same secondary as last year only more experienced. I think it due to a different coordinator who wants to be aggressive like what was suggested back in the summer when we switched to more man.

Like I said last draft if a good corner falls to us in the first few rounds they should definitely be in play.

Both have been underwhelming but Worley plays the ball in the air better then Bradberry but that's something that Worleys college taped showed you.

Coleman needs to pack his bags, I would actually keep Adams around for the young safety we hopefully draft

I definitely think scheme change had a lot to do with it and Wilks probably put more on his young CBs than what they were ready for. I also think (hope) that Coleman was hampered by injury most of the season. It's either that or he prematurely got old overnight.

Perhaps I haven't noticed honestly. I always see/hear Bradberry's name in run support(like last for example).

Both corners, slot corner and safeties need to be replaced. Your secondary needs to be independent of your pass rush, not dependent. What we have now aint got the answers Sway

I would call the Seahawks and ask what would like for Earl Thomas. I'm going after Malcolm Butler, TJ Ward, I'm bringing Tre Boston back and Kyle Fuller if we can't get him. I wish we could bring Leonard Johnson back but we're stuck with Captain it seems

Do you understand anything about football? Schemes? Game plans? Match-ups? Anything? At all? Buehler?

Wilks sent 5 rushers on almost every play last night to force the Saints to throw the ball to beat us. It was known that we would probably get beat deep but the Saints also wouldn't be able to limit our offensive touches. As a result, you saw our offense have many more opportunities than they otherwise would've had.

Should we have replaced Norman after his second year on the team? Think of that. No rational person would answer yes to that question.

We ran cover 3 and 2 most if not all night. We had a 5th guy on the strong side of the line or in a gap on almost every play. The game plan was to stop the Saints running and thus ability to run out the clock and control possession like they had done the previous two meetings.

People suggesting we need a secondary change, despite seeing the improvement from year 1 to year 2 are not thinking rationally. Those same people likely wouldn't say that we should've dropped Josh Norman after two years because Drew Brees lit up our zone coverage.
