Am I overreacting to say we need an entire secondary change?

Not sure what you saw out of him that would make you think he would be a lockdown corner. I did think he could be a serviceable CB after last season, but man did he just look lost out there this season.

His lack of athleticism hurts him. I watched one play where he literally was 10 yards off. I fuging KNEW Brees and Thomas would run a slant. Brees looked off and threw the slant for a 1st down. I'm like damn Bradberry you have to take a chance and jump that route, do something please

It brings me to another point, should we consider moving Worley to Safety? This has been discussed a couple times. Trying that allow us

Also like it or not(mostly not) but Rivera has shown you what he thinks about safeties in his system.

Don't expect a high draft pick and don't expect anything major out of FA there....right or wrong(lol) he does what he does and when he was a DC it was the same way....

They also let Josh McCown roast them. The only QBs who didn't do anything were Hoyer, Taylor, & Trubisky. Otherwise, every other QB we played had their way. If the secondary was capable of creating some turnovers, that could at least excuse the infinite amount of passing yards they give up each game. Unfortunately, nobody in our secondary can do that.

Who did Norman have all this interceptions against? Blake Bortes, Ryan Mallet, Luke McCown and Jameis Winston. Everyone pines for that guy but his entire reputation was built on picking on scrub passers. He's done dick all for the Redskins too.

I don't think we need to overreact on Bradberry. We did the same thing with Benwikere. I think we give him a pass for the year because a lot of 2nd year players have droughts -- he'll come back next year ready. Now, I've never been a fan of Worley and Cap looked awful. Coleman was hurt, again, but I do feel he's a decent safety. The rest, do what you will. We need something back there.

Unless we run the 4-6 defense and use him as practically a 4th LB, no way. The goal of a safety is to help cover the deep ball. I am not sure there is anyone worse in the league at covering that than Worley.

If Worley would lay off the donuts and actually get into shape, he wouldn't need to play 10 yards off the receiver every down. Sadly, he showed more promise to me this season than Bradberry.

That was because the good QBs were smart enough to not throw at him and go over ole man Peanut Tillman. Norman did what he was supposed to do - lock down an entire half of the field and allow for our LB/S to zone the other half.

I really don't think going after Ward and Boston is major. Those are solid signings and Hurney shoudn't overpay for them. What about Worley to SS? I would definitely go after Butler OR Kyle for the right price too.

Boston should have never been released, he was good depth at the very least, didn’t even get a chance to compete for the starting job if I’m correct. Hopefully elder takes the slot job next year, but we need to get more athletic in the secondary.bradberry disappointing season, worley progressed more than him

Both corners, slot corner and safeties need to be replaced. Your secondary needs to be independent of your pass rush, not dependent. What we have now aint got the answers Sway

I would call the Seahawks and ask what would like for Earl Thomas. I'm going after Malcolm Butler, TJ Ward, I'm bringing Tre Boston back and Kyle Fuller if we can't get him. I wish we could bring Leonard Johnson back but we're stuck with Captain it seems

You are right

The secondary was a huge disappointment this year. Bradberry regressed and Worley didn't progress. Coleman really struggled. I have to wonder if he wasn't hampered by that ankle or something virtually all season long. Adams played about as well as you could expect a safety in his late 30s to play which admittedly isn't very well.

I would like is to experiment in camp with Worley at safety. He's a liability when left on an island at CB but he's one of the best tacklers on the team. I think he could possibly make that transition.

Seymour is a JAG and Captain isn't the elite nickelback we siged him to be. We can't overhaul the ejtire secondary in one off season but some upgrades are a must.

You mean like when he intercepted Brees in the end zone on the last play to stop the Saints from winning that game...on his own

revisionist history can be challenged

Brees was out for that game, that was Luke McCown. The second time we played the Saints that year, Brees did play and he roasted our secondary to the tune of 38 points.

I'm just saying he's always put avg at best people back there or no names who made their name back there then went elsewhere.

We should have kept Mike Mitchell and he should still be laying people out....they don't wanna spend a lot of money back there....just the way it is with a Rivera Defense.

I don't think Worley tackles well enough...Bradberry is actually like Norman in his tackling, that is to say both get up in there and aren't afraid....did I miss something from Worley that leads you to believe he can thump? So why SS and not FS?

We gotta have more speed back there regardless don't think anyone can argue that...we always wanna have some old ass white men(black in this case) can't jump fools back there.
