I agree. I’d cut all the wide receivers except Samuel who can come back and compete— Funchess can come to camp and compete but drop the game winning touchdown in the endzone after your quarterback has survived the unthinkables to be able to deliver the ball...

id get Watkins, trade the Browns Funchess and Worley for Josh Gordan. Bye mutherhubbards.

I saw Gunter play in place of Worley and he’s worlds better— he chased Ginn all of the field, and believe he was a big reason that immediately our Dline started being able to get to Brees. Some good hard tackles too. Worley can go now.

then we draft a Corner or Safety or Christian Kirk if he’s there,  draft a corner or Anthony Miller 2nd.

Clay can stay— he redeemed himself a shot in camp with that clutch sideline catch. 

So Watkins, Gordan, Miller/Kirk, Samuel, Clay and Byrd. I’d still bring another FA receiver too.

Looking at the holes we have and the free agency classes at those positions, I'd argue that Wide Receiver might be best equipped for us to take care of before the draft which will allow us to use our first few picks on other positions of need.

Only a couple of these could be considered a number one, but I spy several upgrades to guys currently on our team at the position. I think a lot of these guys could also be had for a bargain.

I spy ALOT of upgrades to guys on our team at the position!!!!

I think, were Samuel and Byrd to have stayed healthy, we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

That said, get me the best route runner and hands from that group...I don't care about the flat out speed all that much, as I think we have that already...albeit injured.

Crabtree would be a nice addition for any corps.
