Why TD? He’s not played bad at all, he’s a bit slower then he used to be, but still clearly he second best LB’er on the team.

We're getting to the point where we have to extend Shaq.

Do we keep paying TD and cut ties with Shaq?

ps: I will cry like a sick toddler when TD hangs them up.

I will miss him, I honestly don’t think Shaw isn’t any good at all. Surprised he even has a starting job

Some big names at that. They are long time staples of the team.

I think Charles Johnson and Ryan Kalil are sitting very dangerously on the cutting block as well as Jonathan Stewart. All 3 are playing way past their prime and could be replaced by comparable players a fraction of their current contract and we need more space now to sign players like Norwell and Star.

If someone can find and repost the Matt Kalil contract stipulation that basically makes his contract a 1 year rental at first that would be great. Becuase I’m trying to figure out what his contract impact would be if cut, thanks!

I can see johnson , stew, but jury still out on Ryan Kalil ...I know the Matt Kalil contract makes it hard for us to cut him this year...lets get what we can out of him and move on when it makes more sense monetarily...

It's like you all did not see what happened when Ryan Kalil wasn't playing.

Christ.

Decisions have to be made. Maybe if DAVID GETTLEMAN didn't fug us over with Matt Kalil contract would can sign Norwell and won't even discuss cutting Kalil to free up money for other weak spots that does need to be addressed.

I don't see us letting Norwell walk but if so we have options on the inside...I see ryan here at least one more season...

I'm all for Cutting Ryan IF.....

1. It means making room for Norwell

AND

2. We draft a Center early as in rounds 2-3.

Kalil did make a difference when he came back.  But again, as good a player Kalil, part of that has to do with who he replaced (Tyler Larsen wasnt the big time prospect more of a JAG).  Much like the difference we saw when Turner went down and Amini stepped in vs Atlanta.  Kalil is old, so we dont know how many years left he has.  And has had his fair share of injuries (I believe he has missed about 18 games the last 2 seasons).  Say we lose Norwell and keep Kalil.  Kalil misses a few games and we have a ? At Center And OG.  Or Retires next offseason after we cut his brother and we have a ? at LT, LG, and C.
