I don't like it either but your head coach just got extended and he is a Shula guy.   I also think Cam is a Shula guy.  Hard to fire a guy after an 11 win season.  It sucks for a message board but that's reality.

Ravens fired their OC in route to a Super Bowl victory. It ain’t hard if you’re serious about winning.

We keep hearing about how important it is for us to start fast, yet every early possession we huddle (when Cam is clearly better in no-huddle - he gets a rhythm), we take the play clock below 5 secs EVERY play, and our pass-run plays are about as predictable as they come.

Cam is a running QB, yet we see very few bootlegs or rollouts for him, particularly on 3rd down where he'd have the opportunity to throw or run. We regularly see deep sideline passes on 3rd and short, instead of something Cam can throw in a decent size window. We went to endzone routes the last series of the game, when we had plenty of time to work the middle of the field.

I just wish Shula would go away, and a new OC would come in and start this offense over.

How did he help Shula get promoted? All I remember was Rivera talking about "continuity" being the reason why he gave Shula the job.

Rivera asked Newton for his opinion.  Newton threw his support to Shula (it was reported at the time it happened).  He was his friend and had done a good job as his QB coach up to that point, so it's not exactly shocking.

Would he change that now if he could?  Don't know, but even if the answer is yes I doubt he'd say it publicly.  Newton's not the type to do stuff like that.

This team will never ever win a super bowl. There's literally no point in watching the games

The "franchise is still young" excuse isn't cutting it anymore either. The Baltimore Ravens won a SB in less than 5 years in their 1st playoff appearance. It's simply incompetent management.

But weren't they basically just the old browns? Not saying the excuse is valid by any means but Baltimore wasn't technically a brand new expansion team.

I agree that he won't say it publicly because that wouldn't be very smart. I just think Cam should start making some demands (if he hasn't already) behind the scenes. This offense won't cut it.
