Im not saying Gano is the best choice but right now we have bigger fish to fry. Offensive line is a problem. Lack of receiver depth is a problem. Poor secondary is a problem. Running game as a whole could be considered a problem with an aging Stewart. All more important issues than gano.

yeah, Gano is not going anywhere, but Ireally wanted to make a sh!t thread. I don't do that often....

His job is to make every fg.  Thats all he is hired to do.  He is a professional kicker.  He failed at his job.  While he is not the only reason we lost.  He will not get a free pass.  Because if he did his job we would have won despite Clay dropping an easy TD along with the many other bad plays that happened during the game.

You can say that about any player at any position...the o-line’s job is to protect the QB (so any sack/hit/pressure = failed at their job), the WR’s job is to catch the ball (every drop = failed at their job), QB’s job is to throw the ball (every inaccurate pass = failed at their job), and so on. A Kicker’s failures are more glaring to us as spectators, but it’s no different...I’m not sure why it is the only position we expect perfection from as fans.

If you're giving Gano a pass you are part of the problem. He's one of the highest paid at his position. This isn't some jag.

How much he's being paid is absolutely a problem, however it's really not easy to find amazing kickers. So many teams have kicking problems every year (20+ for sure). Terrible terrible miss but the 58 yarder made up for it... Not many kickers make that one and all the others that he didn't miss. Much larger problem was Shula and the WRs for red zone inconsistencies. 4 FG attempts in the red zone that needed to be TDs.

Honestly i would have rather him make the first and miss the second.  At least we could understand missing a 58 yarder.  Plus he gave N.O. momentum who then capitalized with an immediate TD.

Our offensive playing like poo in the red zone gave NO momentum. Oh and Coleman and Bradberry sucking...
