John Fox on offensive line issues

So why didn't you include this part?...

On if the offensive line needs to work on anything specific to be more efficient: We've had the same guys in there. We just need to improve. We do that in practice and, hopefully, we continue to get better. I think we were a little bit more efficient in the run game. Some of the things statistically is what the opponent does. They (Redskins) were loading the box (and) doubling Steve (Smith). In those cases, sometimes, you have to take some shots, and we were able to get a couple of big pass plays because of it. Again, we'll keep continuing to try to get better both in the run blocking and in the pass protection.

I don't see any excuses in there.

Sorry John but the fact that a 1500 yard rusher from a year ago is averaging about 50 yards a game is interesting to say the least.

that 1500 yard rusher now faces better more disciplined defenses...

...and that's the problem with the o-line.

not to worry, if the oline and that 1500 yard rusher do well against tampa bay, everyone will forget that both teams are on the same level of patheticness and think that the o-line and williams have arrived.

On if it is surprising that the offensive line has struggled considering that the starters are the same as last year:

Allow me to help Foxy out:

"We lost depth and rotation ability at every position other than running back. Me and Marty mortgaged the future of the franchise because our jobs are on the line after our abysmal game plan and performance against an inferior Cardinal team. We overpaid Peppers and Delhomme because we thought we needed them for a last hurrah. Our plan was to win a Superbowl and worry about the future in the future. That plan went horribly wrong. The good news is that it's someone else's problem in 2 months. Next question?"

didnt i post the like to the article?

Yeah, but you knew damn well that half of these people woud rather just complain about the quote you cherry picked instead of taking the time to read everything the man actually said. Anyway, he didn't make excuses and he said that they needed to get better...what more do you want? If you're waiting for Fox to go into detail about how he plans to get them better, then shame on you, because you should know better by now.
