The Cam Conundrum

Literally no one here has done that. I have yet to see anyone argue that Cam had a good game against Atlanta, myself included.

That’s not the point. He’s expressing his impression on this forum stemming from  all your dumbass insecure, racist poo posts. He’s not talking about one game; he’s not wrong. But I sure you’ll continue to somehow argue his impressions are wrong, everyone is wrong, misunderstanding what is really going on.

For the sake of discussion lets say that Cam does have some weaknesses.  What are our options?

How many people would actually trade him?  How many would draft his replacement?  Personally I think franchise QBs are too hard to find to give up one that has shown the ability to carry a team to a SB appearance and has had a MVP season.

With that being said I think most of us would agree that our offense is not as consistent as some would like so how do you change it?

There are 3 options for improving an offense:

Change the QB

Change the personnel around the QB

Change the coaching

Lets say you do change the QB, what happens if the offense still struggles?  Now you might be in that constant search for a QB that some teams seem to be in.

Nobody is trading or releasing Cam.  Cam has the ability to set his feet and deliver accurate passes I have seen him do it. Hell last week on one drive he went 7 for 7 and a TD.  It needs to be drilled into him take what the defense gives you.  A 4 yard completion on 1st is better than a 20 yard incompletion.   They shown a highlight on inside the NFL where a guy ran wide open underneath a route and he tried to force it to GO for an INT. When the wide open routebran right in front of GO.  That’s not on the OC that’s the QB but I’m just an ignorant racist what do I know.

Gettleman tried - he drafted giants at WR and Cam still has trouble over throwing them.

And in turn released the only compenent WR we had in SS.  Loved KBs range but he isn't quick or fast enough to get seperation.  Funchess is a better WR than KB.  KB wasn't a #1 nor is Funchess but Funchess was excelling with a speed receiver next to him.

Funchess with Steve Smith would have been nearly unstoppable.

We get it Lumps. You're a white male who is a member of the law enforcement community and rails against any talk of racism affecting minorities.

Please stop quoting me.

We can have a discussion, and I've had them even with rival fans regarding Cam Newton where I didn't walk away thinking they might be racist.

When people begin to become alerted to racism is with certain language in criticisms that delve into personal nonsense like questioning work ethic and leadership.

For example, I've been called a racist CMC hater here even though I was happy when we drafted him and I'm a big fan of his. My expectations are high, I've been critical of him. But you would never see me question him as a man by targeting his work ethic. That's bullshit. That's what people are talking about.

Curious, what’s your take on a black man criticizing Cam’s work ethic and leadership? Those exact critiques have been parroted verbatim by the likes of Cris Carter and Shannon Sharpe this past week on their respective programs. I don’t agree with them, but if you automatically associate those types of criticisms with inherent racial prejudices, then what happens when the ones propagating those kinds of assertions are black themselves?

It’s an interesting and fair debate. I often wonder if the Panthers would be better off with a traditional QB that was an accurate passer that didn’t turn the ball over. With our defense, the offense doesn’t have to do much.

Cam draws unfair criticism and a lot of it is due to incredibly high expectations. Cam could be the Lebron of the NFL but doesn’t appear to work that hard at it and relies on his god given physical attributes. If Cam had Manning’s work ethic he would be one of the best to ever play the game.

I find myself more and more frustrated with his lack of accuracy and antics on and off the field. The fact that Cam still has poor footwork and mechanics that haven’t improved speaks volumes to his off season work ethic in my opinion

Go back to your sshitty hornets. Dont come around only at playofftime

Honest question: Do people think Olson, Benjamin, Funchess, CMC, Samuel, and Stewart is not having any weapons for Cam?  Or are people upset that Panthers didn’t have enough depth to account for injuries?

Maybe for a middle of the road offense at best not a great one. Cam has to play great running and passing every game for us to have a shot. He's had some very strong games this year. We'd be a 6 win team tops with Anderson or someone like that in there. Byrd and Samuels both showed promise but went down. Everyone acting like it sums him up because he's  throwing to a bunch of 3,4, 5 receivers that obviously he won't have thrown to as much and struggled against a good defense on the road is kinda crazy. Especially with our OC/philosophy that does him no favors. Most QBs will struggle in that situation. Our only shot today is for him to ball out

LOL, yes he has discussions with people all the time he doesn’t think are racists name of those people are. Tiger, Beaston, Fua, Cookie and 888 and him make the fab 6. And did you notice he said MIGHT

This may shock you, but I don't speak about race very often on here. I just think you're a moron for hating the greatest QB we've ever had
