That’s a great point and I’d add Brady, Brees and Watson to your list. Look back at this season and our D won at least 4 games despite our offense.

Did you see Brees without Payton in SD. Lmao Watson who was 3-4 with a superior supporting cast

The bills and Bucs were the only two games they won with no support from the offense

oh the great old unprovable hypotheticals is what the low brow staunch supporters resort to

This team would not be 11-5 without Cam as he is a huge part of the running attack.  I do think if Cam wasn't here, the front office would have invested more money in the offense and less on D so it's a catch 22.  Would that scenario been better or worst?  I think worst because Cam's athleticism gives any team a chance to win.  And 3 and shorts or 4th in shorts are almost automatic with him.  Give him a top tier receiver, just one, or a solid RB and he's a different player.  Will he still sail some balls be moderately accurate at times? Yes, but we've seen what he can do with some of those assets mentioned.

The other thing that affects Cam's accuracy are the compounded hits and running during the game.  He simply doesn't have time to recover and all of takes a toll.  I'm not making excuses for poor play but it just too much of a load to carry at this level for 60 minutes.

Anyone outside of Charlotte knows the antics I’m talking about. Wentz doesn’t Superman and do the kind of celebrations Cam does so the generational argument falls short (neither does Wilson or Goff or dare I mention Luck).

If Cam had such a great work ethic his accuracy wouldn’t be at the bottom of the league with the same poor footwork he had coming out of college. Elite players like Brady and Lebron are constantly trying to improve to get an edge. I don’t see it with Cam and this is my personal opinion.

Gettleman tried - he drafted giants at WR and Cam still has trouble over throwing them.

It was not what he needed. He needs speed and deep that' same as what Steelers have done with big been ..martavis Bryant would be nice. He does not need as many threats but he needs at least one...Over throws are not frequent enough to draft that many big slow bodies.

Height does not mean great.  He did very well with shorty, Steve Smith....he knew how to get open.

Cam throws the ball over guys heads all the time.  That has nothing to do with wr s getting open.  It has always been a problem and always will be.  He is what he is.  He has good games and some real stinkers.  Lets hope Sunday will be one of the good ones.
