What if a team tied every game they played?

From everything I have read, wins count first. So a team that is 10-6 is better than one that is 9-6-1 since it is first total number of wins that matter. If 2 teams have the same number of wins, then the team with the fewer losses is seeded next.

So being 0-0-16 would put you behind everyone who had at least 1 win. You would be ahead of only teams without a win but with at least 1 loss.

The easiest way to think of this is to calculate winning percentage.

0-0-16 is .500.

1-15 is .065

0-0-16 is way better

In today's NFL, a tie is counted as half a win and half a loss. For example, a record of 9-5-2 is equivalent to a record of 10-6; they both have a win percentage of .625.

from the "internet"

0-0-16 is the same as 8-8

somebody just type "Happy Panther is right as always" so we can close this thread

I know it's nearly impossible for that to happen, but what if some team went 0-0-16? Now granted, there would be 13 other teams out there with tie games, and including all the teams in your division would have 2. What would a situation like that...entail?

In the NFC West a couple of years ago, it would almost entail winning the division.
