I've only seen highlights but his scouting reports are basically identical to Cam's outside of the size. Mobile threat, cannon arm with good deep ball, questionable decision making and accuracy across the middle. RG3 was hyped as a field general who was also a running threat.

Replace the Name and the "tore his acl his sophomore year" and they are pretty much the same

There's no comparison to Cam do just stop it. As an ACC fan I've watched him play a ton. He's a lot closer to The Golden Calf of Bristol as a passer than he is Cam.

You read the scouting reports on Lamar, they are dang near identical to what was said about Cam.  Obviously there is a size difference.  However Lamars overall numbers except for completion percentage were better than Cam's.     Lamar Jackson threw for 3600 yards and ran for 1600  (matter of fact did it twice).   You probably couldn't tackle him if both of you were in your hallway closet.  He doesn't have a wonky delivery like the The Golden Calf,  it's actually quite compact although his release point looks lower than it should be.  But the release is flick.   He actually has one of those Michael Vick type arms,  where it looks effortless and the ball flies 60 yards downfield.   Plus his oline looked like it was 2 amini silatolus at guard and Remmers and Byron Bell at tackles.

Not saying he is better than Cam in anyway, but saying he is not an NFL QB?  Please.  Off the top of my head, he would be better than , anyone currently on Arizona(palmer retiring), Jets (mccown, pfft),  and Cleveland (poor kizer has cleveland stank on him).   Can be argued he can be drafted and be the next QB to replace Rivers or Manning.   Washington could draft him and actually get it right and not RG3 him.    If you asked me Jackson or Blake Bortles.... I'm at least thinking hard about it.  So yes he is definitely and NFL QB.

his release isn't that bad. He's a QB who could benefit tremendously from sitting on the bench for a couple years before taking over.

To me Jackson is a bigger slower Mike Vick.  Makes 1 read and if it's not there he runs.  I watched him in like 4 or 5 games in the last 2 years and people say he got better this past year from a passing standpoint but I could not see it.  Guys that don't get better from 1 year to the next year in college scare me because it usually means they are not studying the game they are just getting by on talent and that does not work in the NFL (Manziel).   Sometimes it's due to loss of talent around him but in Jackson's case you still saw him make some WTF throws.  The same ones he made last year.

From everything I have heard about he seems to be a good kid and no off the field problems but I would not take him in the 1st round.  I would not take him in the first 3 rounds, he just has to much work to do on learning how to be a quaterback.

Pretty much this.

He's 6'3 211, he can gain like 10 pounds and still probably run a 4.4. He already runs a 4.34.

I doubt he times better than 4.6 at the combine. He was 4.77 coming out of high school per ESPN recruiting site. Hand times are not believable

People said the same thing about Russell Wilson

You think Lamar Jackson is half the passer that RW was coming out of college? RW completed over 70% of his passes his final year of college at Wisconsin. Jackson has never had a season where he was over 60%. Sub-60% college passers almost never make it in the NFL. Cam completed 66% of his passes at Auburn.

Not at all, stating people said Wilson wasn't a NFL Quarterback and look how he turned out. Jackson reminds me more of Vick then anything, but I'd love to have him here
