This could be the Patriots last run, would you go after Belichick?

Any team that doesn’t go after Bill Belichick doesn’t deserve to be a team.

That said- this is a huge reach

A reach for us to get/go after him, or a reach for Brady and Belichick to split next year? I would agree with the former but not the latter. One thing that's hugely important to both Brady and Belichick is their legacies. Unfortunately for both of them, their legacies are tied together and neither can truly be considered the unanimous greatest of all time at their position while only having had success with the other. Belichick detractors will say, "oh well he had Brady his whole career." And vice versa for Brady. Before each of them retires (both of which will come quite soon, Brady's old and his play will fall off a cliff very soon--it may already be starting to as he has been terrible the past 4-5 weeks--and Belichick has said he won't coach into his 70s I believe) I think they'll both want to show they can succeed without the other.

3 years ago the Chiefs blew out the Pats on Monday football by 30+ pts and the Huddle was filled with joy as Brady was officially washed up and the Patriots run was over.  They won the SB that year.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Come on, JR. You gotta admit Brady's kind of an a--hole.

But no, I don't see them splitting up.

Mind you, if it did come down to a "him or me" situation, I believe Kraft would dump Brady before he would dump Belichick. Brady will age out of being able to play quarterback before Belichick ages out of being able to coach.

Hell yeah, if the GOAT head coach is out there, you go after him.

There's a lot of Patriots hate in the Carolinas and everywhere outside of New England, and more than enough Belichick hate to go on top of it. But, the bottom line is this dude built/coached the single greatest dynasty team in sports history with, most of the time, half of the on-field talent than most teams.

He took a 6th rd QB and molded him into the GOAT. He took cast offs and guys nobody else wanted and turned them into role players. He never has all star WR or RB weapons, but he coaches his guys up to do their job or he kicks them to the curb (see Kony Ealy.)

If Rivera was 1/3rd of the coach BB was, we'd have won the Super Bowl already.
