No, it wouldn't. It's already been said several times what the reasons are that Charlotte doesn't have the necessities to host a Super Bowl. A dome is not one of them.

New York had an open air Super Bowl. No dome.

Made a special case for NY, actually one of the stipulations is if the average temperature of the area is below 50 during February then the stadium needs a roof, heated fields among other things.

miami and Tampa host them as well is outdoor venue and its a 50/50 chance daily its going to rain every day here in south florida.

The dome excuse is BS.  We get a dome, we still aint hosting a superbowl.  Its been noted the city dowwsnt have the hotel and i believe the space to host the pre fest stuff prior.

Its all greed and they will just spoon feed we need a dome for the superbowl just so they cab get what they want.  Its just personal greed.

Its perfect where its at now.  It host bowl games, college chamionship games etc.

Miami stadium was almost Identical to BOA in the setup and bowl style

Then they put 350 mil in renovations.  Now its one of the nicest ones in the league and is set to host a super bowl.  Thats all you have to do.  No need to spend 1 billion for some greedy bastard.  Going to be a big turnoff to fans as well just having PSL owners just throw away their $$$ with no comp, then turn around and beg fans to poney up and buy more PSLs to the new place

Jacksonville put together a grand plan to add hotel rooms by bringing in cruise ships. And that's exactly what they did.

I don't see the NFL approving a plan to add rooms in Charlotte on ferry boats on the Catawba River.

Stadium aside... IT'S MIAMI. Of course they're going to host Super Bowls.

I mean, I've never seen so many Dominican women with cinnamon tans.

It’s already a turnoff, not going to be.  I couldn’t have cared less about Felix Fabates before and how the name makes my blood boil.  The nerve of that guy to make those statements now was AWFUL business.  Insanely stupid.  So stupid in fact that even Panthers fans that aren’t from the Carolinas should question the guy’s fitness to be owner with such stupid comments at this stage.

Thought Sabates would be a good candidate, but he's out of his mind with some of these statements.

Exactly.  Crazy stupid of him to blow it already.  Even if he is the pompous jackass that his comments indicate, it was better to remain silent at this point and be called a fool than to open his mouth and remove all doubt.

I CANNOT STAND this Sabates clown.....jezusssssss

this isn't going to be a smooth transition ...this could end up being a mess.

really hope we're not looking at a Charlotte Hornets fiasco all over again with the Panthers.......

Absolutely toothless threats, but based on his jackassery, many would jump ship based on that alone imo.

Comparing Miami to Charlotte? Really huddle. Because the weather is the same right?

The dome (permanent or retractable)and parking is to make it a place to host other events in case, you know, the NFL decline some are predicting continues. If you can make $$$$ with hosting other events that offsets some of the losses the NFL decline could present. Plus it is additional revenue sources.Unless another football guy like Jerry buys the franchise just for football, ownership groups want to diversify a 2.x billion dollar investment as much as possible. They will have to compete with the like of the spectrum center and pnc, but right now they are not. Also new group could look at Arthur's anus and see branching out to a MLS team too when pitching the new stadium.....

If someone can get the city to pay for a new stadium they would be a fool not to. So I expect it will be a talking point for most groups. It is unlikely an owner will come in and build one on their dime and not use a larger chunk of city money. So if the city stands pat, I doubt the stadium talk really goes much more than another upgrade.

He isn't likely to get all or hell most of what he is after, but is starting with wanting the moon and work towards the middle.

Why he decided to make it public: it's Felix, no surprise he wouldn't gloat/yap, guy can't keep his big mouth shut.

The new owner would also need to bring MLS and MLB to also play in said dome to keep the legions of public outrage from overflowing in these hypothetical scenarios.  Not gonna happen.

Why couldn’t they convert BOA into a MLB ballpark. Just remove some seats and there you go. I think it would make a nice ballpark if it comes to that. If we move into a new dome, I still want to see  BOA used for something meaningful
