Do you think Rivera will leave Panthers?

Rumors are swirling on WFNZ and elsewhere that Riverboat Ron (or Rowboat Ron, depending on how you feel about the guy) might leave the organization in the off-season. I know a lot of people here can't stand him, but in reality, he's been the best coach the Panthers have ever had. During is time in Carolina, he has helped create the winningest culture the Panthers have ever seen.

 

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener and I think it could really hurt this team moving forward and eventually we'd see a lot of our key players playing elsewhere in the coming years.

 

I know rumors are just that; rumors, but it just adds more to this mountain of a mess that will be the 2018 Carolina Panthers' off-season.....

I think most of those rumors are based on the notion of us winning the Super Bowl.

He has one more season on his contract. My guess is at the very least, he'll play that out.

The fact that his current contract expires right about the time new ownership will be taking control is something to watch though.

Wfnz has been talking about it.  Don't know where they get it.  Rumor is with ownership fluctuation, and only 1 year left on contact, he would consider the bears job.  Tbh, it sounds kinda odd, but I'd say not infathomable.

Unless Rivera instructs the players to physically not show up to the game in New Orleans and instead go burn down the stadium in Charlotte, he’s not leaving any time soon
