Do You Think Christian McCaffrey will Ever Learn How To Break Tackles?

Ouch you got called a racist by a guy that doesn’t like white running backs after you owned him to a level that he couldn’t respond other than his more than Shula predictable play-call response. Win.

Could you be anymore thirsty for my attention? Here I'll throw you a bone little doggy.

I've been a CMC guy from the jump. I want him to succeed. Suggesting otherwise just shows how woefully ill-informed you are.

Cam is a 7 year vet who is making the same mistakes he was season 1. Cam is not an MVP unless we’re going to be stuck in 2015.

CMC is a rookie thrown into an offense with very few options and even less now that Samuel is injured. He can’t help where he was drafted.

Figures you’d be one to compare.

HUGE difference, and they’re both suffering big time from a joke at OC and zero LT and now G play.

Also, 10 lbs of muscle makes a ginormous difference and anyone who has stepped in a gym or played a contact spot knows this. For someone already in great muscular shape, like CMC, that kind of muscle will take close to a year to build...and that’s taking into account he busts ass and has professionals guiding him. Now that’s just muscle weight he’ll probably add 5-10 more of fat with that.

And at 15-20 lbs more after a nice (and first) offseason I’ll bet you anything he’ll break more tackles, I just hope he doesn’t lose speed doing it. But really it all depends on where and what kind of weight this staff (or a new one) will want him to put on.

IF McCaffrey gained 20 more lbs from his rookie year weigh in (205 lbs) that would make him 225 lbs and just as big as Ezekiell Elliot. Thats hard to picture lol

You’re a racist. Don’t quote me, k. thanks bye! :poo:

Honestly, both you and lumps sound like little more than buffoons for even attempting to draw comparisons to the criticism Newton has faced all these years.

There's a difference between constructive criticism like admitting a player had an off game like both Cam and CMC did last week versus literally almost a decade of people only showing up to shriek like a hyena and pile on Cam when things aren't going well and then being on a milk carton when we're winning.

Insinuating someone is racist toward a white running back that is wildly popular is a disgusting mockery of the real racism that African American athletes have faced for decades, and frankly you should be immensely ashamed for even remotely proliferating such asshattery. I think we're done here.

Or white cornerbacks lol

Redpanties will tell you can’t add muscle or improve because CMC isn’t your “typical” RB

Adding weight is easy. Doing it without sacrificing speed and agility is the key. He’s going to have to try because he won’t last long as an every down back if he keeps getting thrown down by one hand. Problem now is we still don’t know what he’s capable and what we need to compliment him with when we send Stew packing. That’s on the staff.

I followed cmc from his freshman year to his record breaking sophomore season and to his final season. During his record season he had very good line blocking and a good qb in Hogan He was used more as an all purpose big play weapon and wasn’t asked to run goaline or short yardage since they had a short yardage back. In his final season he became much more of a between tackles pure rb. They did not have a good o line or a good qb. He faced many 8 man boxes but still managed to improve his ypc and did goaline work.He seemed much stronger , never fumbled and moved the chains. They did use a fb to help blocking. I think he can continue to improve between the tackles and become a great all purpose back.

RBs in the past have done that, it’s pretty normal. The biggest issue is filling out a frame without overdoing it, which would cause loss of speed/agility and be more prone to injury. I’m confident enough he will improve. Probably not enough for some that will accuse him not becoming Bettis.

sure. remember deangelo’s rookie year? he had a rep as a guy who’d fall down if the safety sneezed at him. it wasn’t until the 2008 preseason he started routinely breaking tackles and moving into an elite tier.

Great comparison.

This team doesn't have the luxury of waiting. Our division is only getting tougher. We have the core to make a run now, and they're getting older. It's all hands on deck. If we want a Lombardi trophy, and not yet another season squandered, it's up to CMC and Stew to help carry us to the promised land. Without a run game we're toast.
