Reason we will WIN Sunday

Ok it's the Wednesday before the playoffs and I've read about every reason in the book on why we will/should lose Sunday. It appears there is no hope. BUT... that's why they play the game. So, with that said, I want to hear why you believe we will win. Here are mine:

1) We know exactly what we are getting going up against the Saints and can gameplan for it. They have no reason to change their gameplan considering it has worked thus far. They haven't seen our best yet this season (I hope).

2) Greg Olsen is bound to have a big game sooner or later and the Saints haven't seen him yet this year.

3) Going off point #2, their starting MLB (Klein) and safety (Vaccaro) are out. The Saints are now playing Manti Te'o and his girlfriend on the back end- we can attack this.

4) Cam Newton has been known to have bounce-back games. From all accounts he was at the Bank late all week and is putting in the time. Business just turned up.

Now get over your new years lull and get on the bandwagon.... because we going to the 'ship

I really dig this cats enthusiasm.  I also didn't know that Te'o's girlfriend was in the secondary of New Orleans.

Funchess has to step up against lattimore.  Saints corners have been great.   Can't have another game with no WR production.  Funchess cannot allow himself to be taken out of the game.  We will win though because we will finally see Cam and McCaffery play ball control all game whilst our read zone defense limits saints to a few FGs in critical moments.  Maybe we can even create a timely turnover, and get a splash special teams play.  Honestly I think we need all of those things to win.  But I'll be praying like hell that we do.

I just re-watched Dec. 3rd game and it's amazing how different the game looked without emotions. Watching that game gave me the confidence that we will win this game minus the mistakes made back in week 13.

There wasn't much shredding in the week 13 game. It was more things ;such as, Pep getting the late hit out of bounds call, Clay fumble on the punt return and Kalil missing blocks (Well still no answer for that one) but everything else seemed fixable.

Two reasons... Cam and Luke.

Cam coming off terrible games always bounces back and carries the load on offense. Gonna happen again this week and it'll be scary for that NO defense. 4 total TDs from Cam with no turnovers.

Luke is probably the best playoff defender in the league right now and it's not even close. We've never allowed more than 24 points on D in the playoffs with Luke and Rivera and I don't think that's changing this weekend. Luke will get a takeaway or two as well and possibly a TD, while shutting down their run game.

31-20 Panthers

The loss of Klein and the return of Olsen change everything. Klein had a bigger effect on their defensive success than they want to admit. He was calling plays and making adjustments like his mentor, our own Luke Kuechly. We've still got Luke and well, AJ will be on the sidelines or at home recuperating.

Klein's calls were also a big part of their pass defense success, but he also could worry next to nothing about Olsen. I don't think they'll have that luxury again.

Our defense has only gotten better, so I think we'll see Pep and Mario feast on Brees. It wouldn't surprise me to see KK bring down Brees once before it is said and done. I also think that they'll use Shaq as a spy on the Saints' running backs to keep them honest coming out of the backfield.

We can and will win this one. And Cam will have one of his best playoff performances in history and we'll remark at how he was able to thread the needle time and time again.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
