So how is the Panthers GM search going?

Dam it seems we are gonna miss out on the top options because teams are trying to fill voided spots today. Are we still waiting to sell the team after the season even tho he stepped down?

If Tina Becker is doing her job she is not letting this wait until the execution of the sale of the team.  I imagine that she is working on a list of candidates as well as a plan to stand pat on Hurney for a year.

 

If I was the new majority owner and she had not been working a GM plan (even one I might not like) she would be the very first person to get shown the door on day 1.

It would be pretty cool to win the Super Bowl next year without good ole' Mister and his No. 2 guy Hurney.

Hurney will still be doing the draft and free agency im guessing. Were not going to have a new owner fast enough to bring in a new gm before all the important stuff happens

Richardson leaving this team in a trick bag. Management has  mostly flew the coop or been fired. Not feeling good about the immediate future, hopefully the long term future will be brighter.

Not many “good” GM Candidates will want to come here without knowing who the owner will be. 

Getting a high caliber GM won’t be a quick process anyway.

1st Panthers need to be sold, which being we are still playing means that the process hasn’t even started.  

Once we play our last game, how many weeks or months will it take for the sale to go through the all the legalities and close?  Do you think JR will be in a rush? 

Then, Day one of the new owner, I’m sure the GM search will be among one of their top priorities right? Maybe not, you don’t buy a billion dollar business and make long term changes overnight right?  How long will interviews take?  

Our best case scenario is we win the Super Bowl, and JR already has negotiated the sale so the process is quick. We have a short list of great candidates (that are still available) and the new owner moves quick.
