But we didn’t lose to the Bucs. A poor showing yes but rolling out with a win probably stemmed more complacency than urgency.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting here because I'm usually one of the more optimistic fans as far as whether or not we have the chance of winning. I think we can beat any team in the league. But that is heavily predicated on the ability of someone not named Cam Newton stepping up. Remember when we put up 200+ rushing yard performances in back to back weeks this season? Gee, funny how we rip off a win streak when our run game shows up. What is this sorcery?
