I’m trying to make a logical discussion but Yur point seems to be that cmc is a failure. If we would use him more as a runner in the I formation cam could do more play action but it is useless triying to persuade you.  take care

Ah... so it’s ok to compare averages to Fournette who has 151 MORE carries than CMC but not ok to compare to Whitaker who has 75 less receptions than McCaffery.

Got it.

And Fozzy Whitaker averages more yards per catch than McCaffery but only has 5 catches... should we start building a game plan around Fozzy as a WR?

McCaffery hasn’t done anything to help take the load off of Cam and that was thinking when we spent the 8th freaking overall pick on him.

Lol yes he has. McCaffrey has been deadly receiving from the backfield and if our OC knew how to utilize talent he would be even more deadly. ATL yesterday put two guys on McCaffrey and no one else could get open. That's the sad reality right there.

I remember Jake Delohme taking a 2005 team to the NFC Championship game with no running backs and 1 reciever. Id say the talent level was a little less on that team. Time to suck it up Cam.

Errrmmm...who was playing LT? Cherry picking is pathetic. Judging by your name tho...

Here is the deal with Cam, and these comments are as objective as i can get them.  Some of you think he is beyond criticism, that the offense has 10 players on the team capable of making mistakes.  Cam is still raw in many ways.

1. First of all, the reason we have WRs who "can't get open" is directly related to Cam's accuracy issues.  We went after tall WRs because there are days Cam throws high--most of the time.  Have you have caught high throws over the middle in football?  I did in college.  It is hard.  You tend to slow your route at the end (so you can elevate) and you tend to get alligator arms when the ball gets there in traffic.  And there are knowledgeable color commentators (like Aikman) who point out open WRs/TEs that Cam does not see.

2.  If Cam does not throw the ball when he plants his right foot, his accuracy is terrible.

3.  This could be a chemistry issue, but Cam is not anticipating and he is not doing much post-snap reading.  He needs to throw the ball before the WR is open.  When he waits for the WR to get open, he tries to force the ball, causing him to throw high.  I seriously wonder if he is being coached at all.

Cam was not even that consistent in 2015--the defense stole the show that year.  Our turnover ratio was freakish, but we still struggled to put teams away.  Yall want to blame Shula, the WRs, OL, etc, but a great leader makes them better.

Bright side:  Cam got the offense together (when he was 0-9) and got them fired up.  It was leadership instead of pouting.  I LOVED it.

I think we beat New Orleans.  I think Cam has a great game, fwiw.
